Spring is a time of transition, the trees are beginning to bud, the grass is greening, and our days are warming. There is a stirring in the air, and in neighborhoods, as children come outside to run and play while we start working in our yards and planting our gardens. We look forward to long days with the sun our face, the grass between our toes, ice cream and campfires, trips to the beach, tall glasses of lemonade.

Spring is also a time of transition for the library. We will be closed the first week of May to replace our carpeting, but don’t worry! We will be open for a couple of hours each day so you can pick up your holds. We do appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make our library better for all of us.

We are also looking forward to summer, to offering new programs and services for the community while we continue to enhance the summer reading program that is so beloved. We’re joining with the Fayetteville Free Library this summer on an Adult Summer Reading Program and the launch of the Fayetteville-Manlius Readers Facebook group. Join the group, let us know what you’re reading, and see what books the staff of FFL and Manlius Library are excited about!
