History

Eisenführ Speiser has been counselling clients in all fields of intellectual property protection for over 50 years now. Around 250 staff, including more than 50 patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law, enforce intel-lectual property rights and claims on behalf of clients. Enormous dedication to service delivery and pro-ficiency in translating powerful technical and legal expertise into high-quality advice have always been the main driving force behind the successful growth and accomplishments of Eisenführ Speiser. These values were lived out in practice already by Günther Eisenführ and Dieter Speiser in the early years of our firm, which was founded in Bremen in 1966.

The activities in which we are engaged have expanded in scope over the years and since the 1990s have been conducted not only by patent attorneys, but also by specialised attorneys-at-law. The firm’s con-tinuous growth also led to other offices being opened in Munich (1990), in the capital, Berlin (1993), and in Hamburg (1997). By tapping our international net-work of renowned law firms, our attorneys are able

to coordinate the protection of our clients’ intellectual property – worldwide, if need be.

Innovation has played a key role at Eisenführ Speiser from the very outset – the first patent attorney firm in Germany to introduce electronic management of deadlines was Eisenführ Speiser, back in the early days of data processing and business machines. Since 2011, all office processes and files at Eisenführ Speiser have been managed electronically. This allows us to work with our clients in new ways, to speed up the exchange of documents with the patent offices and courts, while also enhancing the organisation and interaction of the various offices in the firm in a coherent and cohesive manner.
