Yajnyas are prescribed by the Vedas
for the benefit of the whole planet.
The Vedic culture is aimed at creating
harmony among all beings and Yajnya is the instrument to implement it.
Objectives of Somayaga in Brief:
Institute for Studies in Vedic Sciences takes great pleasure in announcing a Yajnya in Pune - ‘Vishwa Jyotir Ukththyam Mahasomayaga’ to be conducted from 6th to 11th March 2009. It is a form of yajnya prescribed by the Vedas for the benefit of the whole planet. Our Institute along-with local groups has performed 15 such Somayaga’s in the past, including those at Shivpuri, Sholapur , Una, Bhopal, Chiplun, Mumbai, Hyderabad and recently in January 2008 at Aurangabad.
