IMPORTANCE OF YOGA AS A PHYSICAL WORKOUT
Yoga is a spiritual workout that connects the mind, body and soul. This is done by elevating the life force or ‘Kundalini’ at the base of the spine that captures the essence of yoga. The life force is activated through a series of physical or mental exercises known as yogic techniques. At the physical level, the methods comprise of various yoga postures known as ‘asanas’ and the mental yoga techniques include breathing exercises or ‘pranayama’ and meditation or ‘dhyana’.
