Yoga and Mindfulness Series WHY is everyone talking about Mindfulness lately? Research has shown that mindfulness practices, such as yoga and cultivating stillness, can significantly increase the capacity for children to learn, manage stress, manage distractions and develop a sustained sense of well being. In addition to this, there are many other benefits to yoga and mindfulness. Here are just a few: Improved coordination Improved memory and comprehension Improved emotional management Measurable increase in feeling happier! What: 7 week yoga and mindfulness series. We will move, breathe, find stillness, have fun and reflect. We will be learning skillful tools for both school and home. Who: 2nd-5 th graders (12 children maximum) When: Wednesday morning’s 8-9am April 11, 18 ,25 May 2, 9, 23, 30 Cost: $70 Please write checks to RES PTO Important Details: We will begin promptly at 8am. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a journal and pen/pencil The RES PTO would like to ensure all our clubs are available to all RES students.
