located at 268 E. 4th Street) was packed full of high-demand consignment pieces including: rollers/pavers, light
plants/air compressors, trenching/boring equipment, man lifts/scissor lifts, skid steers and attachments, loader
backhoes, motor graders, crawler tractors, crawler loaders, farm, mini excavators, excavators, dumpers, crawler
dumpers, trucks/trailers, shipping containers, asphalt/concrete equipment and other miscellaneous items.
The new Auction Yard opened Monday, May 16th for viewing and was followed by a ribbon cutting event
that evening. A substantial amount of supporters came
to celebrate Yoder & Frey’s new addition. Ashland City
Officials presented Yoder & Frey Auctioneers, Inc. with
a signed ribbon, a Certificate of Recognition from the
Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce and a Certificate
of
Superb Attainment & Recognition from the Ohio
Senate inaugurating the Grand Opening. Following the
ceremony attendees gathered for fellowship and barbe-
que provided by local Ashland vendor, Charcoal Mafia.
The 1st Annual Spring Consignment Auction began bright and early the next morning, with excitement
and anticipation buzzing from the line of attendees eagerly awaiting registration. After brief
announcements from Yoder & Frey Owner Peter Clark, the Auction was up and running. Several hours of fast
paced selling later, bidders and sellers left with satisfaction and the Auction was over as quickly as it had started.

“Overall we had a great Auction in Ashland and we are looking forward to doing it again this
September. The site was wonderful and we are very happy with the support of David Allen (the site’s owner) and
the city of Ashland as a whole,” Clark said.
Yoder and Frey Auctioneers, Inc. would like to give
special thanks to several individuals whose support and
encouragement were fundamental to the success of the
Auction. Thank you to Ashland Mayor Glen P. Miller
whose presence at the ribbon cutting was greatly
appreciated and to the other city officials who also took
time out of their day to show their support including,
the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, Ashland
Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and City Representatives. Special thanks to Amy Daubenspeck, Executive
Director at the Ashland Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and her associate Barbie Lang for their organiza-
tional help and support, and to yard owner David Allen and his crew for their valued partnership and hard work.
“It’s really encouraging to have as much city support as we did. Aside from having a successful Auction,
we wanted to contribute to Ashland’s local community and I’m happy to say that we did. Now, it may have been
small contributition, but a house isn’t built out of a boulder, it takes multiple bricks and we are proud to repre-
sent one of those bricks. The Auction attendees had an opportunity to see Ashland at work and all that it can
provide. The community’s support means a lot to us,” Clark stated.
Building on the success of the 1st Annual Spring Consignment Auction, Yoder and Frey Auctioneers, Inc.
is planning a Fall Consignment Auction to take place at the Ashland site again. The Fall Consignment Auction
will take place mid-September, 2016 which we expect to be larger in size than the Spring Auction. For more
