Across all types of Apprenticeship,
there were 1,656,680 online
applications made in 2015 to 2016.*
* Statistics from GOV.UK
Social Media
In England, the number of degree apprentices has grown rapidly since they
were first introduced in 2015.
By the end of 2017 there will be over 7,600 degree apprentices in England,
with growth being driven by business demand in three particular areas –
the Chartered Manager, Digital and Technology Solutions, and
Engineering-related apprenticeships.
The role of graduates and universities in driving growth is well-
evidenced. With Wales’ productivity per head continuing to be the lowest
of the four UK nations and the challenges posed by the UK’s exit from the
European Union, new approaches, such as degree apprenticeships, are
essential to Wales’ future success.

Pam Prentisiaeth?• Gyda Phrentisiaeth, gallwch chi hyfforddi mewn maes lle’r hoffech chi
weithio. Fyddwch chi ddim yn cael eich gwrthod am eich bod yn
ddibrofiad; yn hytrach, gallwch ddatblygu eich gyrfa o’r diwrnod
cyntaf.
• Ennill cymwysterau. Yn ogystal â phrofiad, byddwch chi’n ennill
cymwysterau cydnabyddedig sy’n cyfateb yn union i anghenion eich
cyflogwr. Bydd y cymwysterau’n fanteisiol i’ch gyrfa yn yr hirdymor a’r
byr dymor.
• Ennill cyflog. Mae prentisiaid yn cael lleiafswm cyflog cenedlaethol.
Felly, yn ogystal ag ennill sgiliau, profiad a chymwysterau, byddwch
chi’n ennill cyflog da hefyd.
• Dod yn annibynnol. Trwy ennill arian, a dechrau ym myd gwaith,
gallwch ddod yn fwy annibynnol a hunangynhaliol.
Pam Prentisiaeth?
• Gallwch ddod yn weithiwr rheolaidd, gan dderbyn gwyliau cyflogedig ac weithiau seibiant i astudio. Byddwch chi’n weithiwr i’r busnes yn ystod eich Prentisiaeth a chewch eich trin fel gweithiwr cyflogedig. Gallwch fwynhau manteision nad ydynt ar gael trwy gynlluniau profiad gwaith.
• Gweithio gyda chydweithwyr profiadol. Bydd eich cydweithwyr yn brofiadol a llwyddiannus yn eu maes a gallwch ddysgu ganddyn nhw yn ogystal â’r hyfforddiant y byddwch yn ei dderbyn.
