March 2017

Dear Parents,

Camp time is fast approaching again. We continue to thank the Lord for His goodness to us, and we

are looking forward to experiencing His blessing on camp again this year.

When our youth camp was started in 1987, we prayed and dedicated it to the Lord asking for His

hand of blessing, and He has answered that prayer in ways we hadn’t even thought of.

One of the goals of camp has been to have a place where youth could grow in the Lord, AND be a

place to meet and make new friends in a safe and healthy environment. One of the ways we have

tried to help this happen is to have a dress code for both guys and gals that doesn’t put pressure on

youth to focus on what others are wearing or to have clothing that could potentially be a distraction

the week of camp. We aim to be modest, even in our sports activities.

In our dress code (note: dress code with registration brochure) we ask that the guys do not wear

hats to chapel or in the dining hall and that they wear shirts with sleeves anytime they are outside

the dorm. Shorts must be loose fitting and knee length, and without holes. We also ask that the

gals wear only skirts, skorts or cullotes. Shorts, which includes gauchos, and basketball shorts are

not acceptable. The length of ALL clothing must come to the bottom of the knee while standing or

sitting. We also ask that modest tops be worn. Skin tight & low cut shirts are prohibited.

We are asking that you as parents get involved in the packing of clothes for both your campers, and

that we all work together to keep the camp safe and healthy spiritually for our youth. Please be

respectful of differing opinions of modesty when selecting clothes for camp. We pray that it will

continue to be a camp that God can pour out His Spirit on. In light of these goals we would like to

have your help and your signature on the registration form saying that you have assisted us in

knowing what kind of clothes your youth are packing in their suitcases.

Campers’ leaving the camp grounds for reasons other than medical or emergency reasons is not

permitted unless it is part of a planned camp activity.

Also, we want to remind you that there are NO Cell phones, IPod’s, CD’s, laptops or any other forms

of technology, jewelry, energy drinks, or knives allowed during camp week. There will be phones

available in case of an emergency.

Please let your parents, grandparents, friends, and church know that there is a Friday evening

program at 7 pm. Come and enjoy the fellowship with your Jr. Youth and see what has happened in

their lives during the week.

You will receive a confirmation note to let your child know that he/she is accepted into camp.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL & THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
