568,000 Couples Built Stronger MarriagesMARRIAGE. Thank you for saving over 105,000 marriages in major marital crisis in the last 12 months through critical resources like Focus on the Family’s Hope Restored® program. Your support provides broadcasts, counseling resources, articles, books and podcasts to save and strengthen marriages.

With your help 568,000 couples in the past year were able to strengthen their marriages.

This year saw a return to more marriage live events, as well as the preparation and release of some new resources. Couples can look forward to a new small group experience based on Greg and Erin Smalley’s book Reconnected: Moving from Roommates to Soulmates in Your Marriage. There’s also a revamped marriage assessment that offers a look at the couple’s strengths and weaknesses.

Marriage 911 — a curriculum with videos, challenges and workbook that walks couples through the process of mentoring other couples — is in the works. All these efforts to save and strengthen marriages are only possible because of friends like you.

257,000 Families Opened Their Hearts to Children in Foster CareADVOCACY. Thank you for supporting Focus on the Family’s Wait No More® events—a part of the Foster Care and Adoption program. These events work to raise awareness of foster care, adoption from foster care, and supporting foster and adoptive families as well as encourage them to begin the process.

Nearly 78,000 families have initiated the process of becoming foster parents or adopting a child. And 257,000 people say Focus inspired them to open their hearts and/or homes to children in foster care.

472,000 Babies Saved from AbortionSAVING LIVES. You’ve helped save more than 472,000 babies from abortion since our Option Ultrasound TM program launched in 2004. Through our Option Ultrasound program, you are equipping pregnancy resource centers across the country with ultrasound machines and training to help mothers considering abortion see the child in their womb even more clearly.

You also helped us launch SeeLife 2021 to encourage and inspire families about the value of every life. A series of weekly digital broadcasts in July and August with special guests inspired families and reinforced the value of life. These digital broadcasts reached more than 5.1 million views on social media! The campaign culminated with a live and online event in Dallas, Texas, on August 28. Thousands attended and many more joined online to celebrate life!

Your generosity also expanded the reach of My Choice Network — an online network that provides expectant mothers with an easy and quick way to find the pregnancy resource center nearest them — to help more frightened mothers receive a free ultrasound. The number of clicks on this network went as high as 487,000 in one month!

And you made possible grants to train physicians and nurses in abortion pill reversal to help mothers who change their mind after taking the first dose for a chemical abortion and want to save their child’s life. Over 2,500 babies have been saved through abortion pill reversal!

When I first suspected that I might be pregnant, I was scared. I was only 19 years old and didn’t know what might lie ahead for me. I didn’t know what to expect or what to do. I felt a lot of pressure as I considered how I could even afford a baby. My baby’s father went with me for an ultrasound appointment. I didn’t really expect to see anything definitive. It was amazing to see my baby’s heartbeat. I could even see the outline of his tiny body, and I knew in that moment that I would somehow do whatever I needed to do to give life to this child.” — Jennyva

724,000 Parents Equipped to Raise Their Children in a God-Honoring FamilyPARENTING. You are coming alongside parents with the tools they need to instill a bold, unshakeable faith in their children. Your support enables Focus on the Family to equip parents with resources like our daily broadcast, podcasts, print materials, online articles, assessments, counseling resources, Adventures in Odyssey ® and award-winning magazines like Brio ®, Focus on the Family Clubhouse ® and Focus on the Family Clubhouse Jr ®. In addition, our Plugged In® team continues to offer parents information on how to navigate pop culture.

You also provide resources and events like Bring Your Bible to School Day ® to help parents prepare their children to boldly live out their faith. Last fall 514,000 students participated; we expect even more this October. Since last October, 14,000 families have signed up for our Live It monthly challenges that foster spiritual growth and community within families.

Raising Highly Capable KidsTM is another program that reaches parents. Local churches and schools team up to offer parents in low-income areasa course that trains them on how to help their children succeed.

What a year! We began 2021 with much hope and anticipation that we would be finished with the pandemic and life could get back to normal. Well, it didn’t exactly happen as we expected or in the time frame we hoped. But the good news is that God was still at work!

Throughout the year, we saw His faithfulness through efforts like SeeLife 2021, Wait No More and marriage live events, and, most importantly, the lives touched. You can read more about how he worked through you in the pages of this issue.

Morgan Weistling was drawing from the time he was 2 years old. He began his professional art career at age 19 and became a much-sought-after movie poster illustrator.

One day, sitting in church, Weistling began to rethink his purpose. He felt like he had been wasting his time and the talent the Creator gave him. He thought, “I need to give my life to God, my art to God and let him use my talents.”
