    (CommonwealthLightship4)intotheGardenIslanddrydock.Te

    SIMS agreement

    Tisyear,DMSsignedaormalagreementwiththeSydney

    In2008,DMSsuccessullymaintainedservicedeliveryandquality,

    Australia-wide,whilesimultaneouslysupportingtheKAKADU,

    SINGAROOandRIMPACexercisesandOperationCAALYS.

    DMShasgainedawealthoexperienceinplanningandmanaging

    surgerequirementstosuccessullysupportFleetdemands,including

    thesecomplexexercises.UnderthePortServicesandSupportCra

    Contract,DMSservicesareintegraltomajorexercises,suchas

    MULGOGGA,DUGONGandthebiennialexercise,ALISMAN

    InSeptember,DMSconductedajetRHIBcourseortheRoyal

    NewZealandNavy.TeJuliet3RHIBsarebeingintroducedinto

    RANservicenationally.DMSwillprovidetrainingintheRHIBs

    congurationandoperationalproceduresorallRANFleetUnits.

    WehaveconductedaninitialcourseorHMASPERHwhichtook

    deliveryotherstJuliet3RHIBsortheRAN.

    Demonstrating the exibility and collaborative

    approach which DMS brings to service delivery,

    we worked with Zodiac to develop a jet variant

    RHIB or the Armidale Class Patrol Boats.

    Later, under the Port Services and Support

    Crat Contract, DMS built on the Armidale

    RHIB, working with the Navy to develop thesuper RHIB, Juliet 3. The 7.2-metre Juliet Jet

    RHIB is a high-speed, high-buoyancy crat, its

    glass reinorced fbreglass hull and reinorced

    inatable gunwale achieve a light, strong

    construction. Ride compensating Ullman seats

    absorb the heavy impacts produced by the

    vessels speed, improving saety and comort.

    Seaboat Coxswain Training

    DMShasbeendevelopinganddeliveringSeaboatCoxswainraining

    or7.2mRigidHullInatableBoatssince2005.Providedonrequest,

    DMShassoarconducted15coursesorNavyFleetUnits.Many

    personnelhaveparticipatedinthecourseswhichDMShasdeveloped

    orbothsternlegandjetdriveRHIBconguration.InMay,DMS

    begandeliveringSeaboatCoxswainrainingortheArmidale

    Raael Mini-Typhoon and Topliteoptronic systems

    On29November2007,DMSsignedacontractwithRaaelArmamentDevelopmentAuthorityLtd.TeagreementpositionedDMSas

    Raaelsin-countryrepairagentortheRaaelMini-yphoonclose-in

    weaponsystemandtheassociatedopliteoptronicsurveillanceand

    targetingsystem.RaaelsystemsarebeingttedthroughouttheRAN

    insuracecombatant,amphibiousandaoatsupportships,andin

    ArmidaleClassPatrolBoats.In2008,DMSestablishedamaintenance

    acilityinDarwin,incorporatingacleanroomandtestrigorelectro-

    opticsurveillancerepairsandtesting.Wehavereceivedullrepair

    agentstatusortheRaaelsystemsandsixDMStechniciansare

    certiedtorepairoplites,theonlyIntermediateLevelMaintenance

    techniciansabletocarryoutthisworkinAustralia.TeRaaeltrainers

    describedourtechniciansasthebesttheyhaveevertrainedintheworldand,indemonstrationothis,DMScompletedIntermediate

    LevelMaintenancecerticationayearaheadotheprojectedtime.

    Raael oplite, yphoon and Mini-yphoon systems are being tted

    throughout the RAN in surace combatant, amphibious and afoat

    support ships, and in Armidale Class Patrol Boats.

    DMS Darwin clean room and special test equipment provides Australias

    A dedicated maritime Registered Training Organisation,

    DMS is committed to providing required training to

    our customers, subcontractors, suppliers and our

    own employees. Through our training we maintain

    appropriate skills to ensure that all services are

    delivered on time, saely and to customer specications.

    A Registered Training Organisation under the Australian

    Quality Training Framework (AQTF 2007), DMS delivers

    training, conducts assessments and issues statements o

    attainment which enable candidates to gain recognised

    qualifcations.

    DMSworkscloselywithmaritimeauthoritiesandhasmemoranda

    ounderstandingwithbothNSWMaritimeandtheDepartmento
