• We asked about student confidence in speaking the Target language in the classroom in October and December and compared the results.

These benefits were clearly seen when comparing 2 year 7 classes in the same school and with the same teacher where only one class was involved in the project.

Conclusions• Perseverance is the key – keep going!• Reward the pupils for trying to speak
in target language• Increase expectations• Little by little – build up the target
language• It really is WORTH it! The benefits
outweigh the slog!• Revisit classroom language regularly
