Item No. 1: To confirm minutes of previous meeting held on 26/01/13:
The minutes of the Meeting held on Saturday, 26th
January, 2013 approved by the Chair persons of both the
committees and circulated to the other members. Since there were no comments received from any of the
members, the proceedings were confirmed as correctly recorded and the following resolution was passed:
“RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the previous combined meeting of members of Alumni Association and
the Parent- Teacher Association held on Saturday, 26th
January, 2013 be and is hereby confirmed as true
record of the proceedings as no comments have been received from any members”.
Item No. 2: The Principal’s address:
Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda welcomed the alumni and the parents. He appreciated efforts of all the alumni and
parents throughout the journey of the college. He also gave a crux of all the activities carried out throughout
the year. He has appreciated the participation of all alumni students in various activities of the college.
Item No. 3: Presentation of various activities by the college:
Prof. B. D. Patel, Chairperson of PTA informed all about various activities by the college:
Orientation program on NSS & NCC followed by the students.
Inaugural function of post graduate centre/ courses seminar on software applications.
Fund raising for the flood victims of Uttrakhand.
Drive to eradicate dengue and malaria.
First blood donation camp (Total 39 blood bags were collected).
Commencement of GSET classes.
Compulsory Thalassemia test for first year students (3 weeks program).
Item No. 4: To ask suggestions from the alumni and the parents for the holistic growth of the
students: Various suggestions have been received form the alumni and parents which are as follows:
More textbooks, magazines, reference books and journals are added to the college library.
To arrange the lectures on stress and anxiety among the students.
Item No. 5: Discussion on upcoming inspection by NAAC.
Discussions have done with the present alumni and parents for the upcoming inspection by NAAC and its
planning.

Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda welcomed the alumni and the parents. He gave a detailed report on the activities
carried out throughout the year in the College. He also discussed the results of the College and the attempts
made by the college staff to make it better.
Item No. 3: To inform the alumni and the parents about the NAAC accreditation:
Prof. Siby Antony, the coordinator of the IQAC, acquainted the alumni and the parents of the procedure and
importance of accreditation of the colleges by NAAC and he has also thanked them for their continuous
support in accreditation. He also requested also the parents to join their hands in college progression by
giving their feedback, suggestions, etc. He also talked about the recent visit of the NAAC Peer Team for the
accreditation of the College.

students: Following suggestions have been received:
Planning for remedial classes for students who are weak in studies.
Students should be well acquainted with the professional courses and various competitive exams.
More industrial visits
Interval in between the lectures should be increased.
Focus more on objective type questions in examination.

Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda welcomed the alumni and the parents. He notably mentioned the achievement of past
student Jay Rao, who was borned with total paralyzed body from spinal code to lower limbs, a unique case
of physically challenged person, got directly selected for post of account officer, class 2 (Gazzated), Finance
Department, Govt. of Gujarat. He reported that parents of the Meritorious students were invited at the prize
distribution functions during the year to grace the dais and the students are felicitated by their own parents
along with the dignitaries. He explained in detail about Atal-pension scheme. He also explained in detail the
importance of having Identity Card, Driving License, Voter Card and other important documents.
