The holidays looked different for everyone. If you could plan your ideal holiday, what would itbe?

● A trip to Luna park with unlimited rides, food and drinks?● A day at a water theme park where all the water is jelly and soft drink!● Spending time with your family overseas

OR you may have your own idea!

Use the planning mind map to think about your idea.● Where would you go?● How will you get there?● What activities will you do?● Who will go with you?● Why did you choose this place?

Once you have planned your ideas, start writing about your ideal holiday. Remember this is adraft. Use this to think about the structure of your story, including a variety of adjectives andmaking sure the story flows.

NAIDOCWe are celebrating NAIDOC week at Lindfield PS this week. NAIDOC Week is a celebrationof 65,000 years of history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeoples. The purpose is to build a strong understanding and pride in the cultures of ourindigenous people. This year’s NAIDOC Week theme is ‘Heal Country’, which recognises theimportance of Country and cultural heritage.

GrammarList all the nouns, adjectives, and verbs in your story about ‘My Ideal Holiday’Then create a wordsearch for someone in your family to complete.

● Use magazines, catalogues or newspapers to find 3-digitnumbers that match the place value clues in the template.

● Circle the largest number from your scavenger hunt and use itto complete the ‘Number of the Day’ worksheet in your booklet.

Robot Rounding:● Round the numbers on the worksheet to the nearest 10.● If the number you are rounding ends in a 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, round the number up.

○ Example: 38 rounded to the nearest ten is 40.● If the number you are rounding ends in 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, round the number down.

○ Example: 33 rounded to the nearest ten is 30.

Noggle:● Write as many number sentences as you can using numbers in the boggle squares.
