NAIDOCWe are celebrating NAIDOC week at Lindfield PS this week. NAIDOC Week is a celebrationof 65,000 years of history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeoples. The purpose is to build a strong understanding and pride in the cultures of ourindigenous people. This year’s NAIDOC Week theme is ‘Heal Country’, which recognises theimportance of Country and cultural heritage.

● Use magazines, catalogues or newspapers to find 3-digitnumbers that match the place value clues in the template.

● Circle the largest number from your scavenger hunt and use itto complete the ‘Number of the Day’ worksheet in your booklet.

Robot Rounding:● Round the numbers on the worksheet to the nearest 10.● If the number you are rounding ends in a 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, round the number up.

○ Example: 38 rounded to the nearest ten is 40.● If the number you are rounding ends in 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, round the number down.

○ Example: 33 rounded to the nearest ten is 30.
