Choose Kindness
One of our Golden Rules at Iqra, is to be polite and courteous.
Being kind is a great gift because if you are kind to someone it makes that person feel good and your act of kindness also makes you feel
good - a double whammy! So, what are you waiting for?! Spread some kindness and happiness . . .
Read the kindness cards below and choose 4 or more to do.
Record the ones you have done below. How did they make that person feel? How did you feel? 😊

Activity 2: Bubbles of Gratitude
These are bubbles of gratitude! As you carefully colour each bubble, think of
something that you are grateful for. It could be something big or something very
small, something that you experience often or something that has just happened once.
Thinking of these things can help to make us feel calm and happy 😊.

sea.

WAGOLL (What a good one looks like)
If I could have any fantasy pet, I would have a fierce, red dragon because they have wings and can
breathe fire! My dragon would have two enormous red wings and a scaly back like the skin of a snake.
I would call my dragon Draco and it would only answer to me! When I call his name and shout the
command ‘down!’ he will lay down so that I can climb aboard him and sit on his scaly back ready to fly
away. He will breathe fire if I give the command and shout “Fiero!”

looking for food and at night, they may be found on the underside of a leaf or tucked away in

Year 2 Activity 1: Make your own Dinosaur fossils
1. First, follow the recipe to make salt dough.
2. Then, split the dough into portions (you should be able to make 4 balls)
3. After that, push each ball down flat.
4. Then, use a leaf, twig or plastic dinosaur to press down into the flat salt dough to
create a dino imprint! (Do not worry if you do not have any plastic dinosaurs, you could have a go at making a dinosaur shape
using your fingers.)
5. Then, either leave the fossils to dry on the side for a few days or ask an adult to pop
them into the oven for you on a low heat so they do not rise! (On the lowest heat such as 70 degrees for a couple of hours.)
6. Finally, you can paint and decorate your fabulous fossils, which should now be dried out
and hard. (To make them last even longer once the paint is dry cover with pva glue to varnish and give a shiny
finish.)

You will need: 1 cupful of plain flour (about 250g)
half a cupful of table salt (about 125g)
half a cupful of water (about 125ml)

a ball.
2. Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and shape into your chosen model.
