• Specification AQA 8300 (9-1)• Higher Grades 9 to 4 available with an exceptional 3• Foundation Grades 5 to 1 available• The content roughly breaks down into 4 areas, Number, Algebra, Geometry
and Statistics.• Not all students are taught all content. What they are taught depends on
their ability.• They have 7 hours of lessons a fortnight and must do regular homework.• They should also do regular self study and revision to be successful.• Students are supported by a text book and Mymaths, both of which can be

Support: All KS4 tasks in class are exam question based (PEQ’s). Homework's are exam or revision based. Two department made revision guides provided for students (also electronically) in Feb with extended and simple notes, revision grids, PEQ’s, mind maps, summary sections and GCSE pod focused tasks. (You will not find one better to buy!) After school revision and Saturdays start also in early Feb that supplement and support the topics in class. Mini revision pages distributed at end of units x 8 on each unit- with acronyms, mnemonics to aide learning.
AOB: Frequent and repetitive revision is paramount. Parents can use revision book to support students. All of the department are examiners.

• Plan, shoot and edit 60 advert for body spray
• All submissions are individual (not groups as with old spec.)
• Expectation is that students film outside of school (some equipment can be borrowed)
• Can be shot using smartphones/tablets/etc and uploaded directly to Fronter
• All raw footage is due by October half term
• 3 weeks of lessons in Autumn 2 devoted to editing and writing Statement of Intent

This qualification is linear. Linear means that

Coursework Deadline:
COMPONENT 3 - All students must learn the lines to their 2 contrasting monologues and
Duologues by October 23rd.
Parents should ensure that all students revise/learn their lines at home to meet this deadline.
2 Monologues per student – Each monologue should be 5 minutes in length or 2 Duologues
lasting 10 minutes each.
