The City of Murska Sobota has formed a strategic co-operation with University in Maribor in order to strenghten the impact of education and research in Pomurje region. With the agreement between the city and the university, the parties have agreed to co-operate in creating sustainable urban and social development of the city and the region. Furthermore, University in Maribor will provide expert support in development of strategic and innovative solutions for the city in the region for them to effectively fulfill the regional potentials.
This co-operation initially started in order to strenghten the attractiveness of Pomurje for foreign direct investments. Among other it opens a wide potentials for successful use of development funds from European Union.
