The versatile Pro Punt ® range of high performance, heavy duty work barges and punts manufactured by YAMBA WELDING & ENGINEERING Pty Ltd are designed to

These boats can also be adapted for private use in rivers and estuaries, and their stability and shallow draft make them an ideal family boat – well suited to fishing, camping, and other recreational activities. CONSTRUCTION The Pro Punt ® is a fully welded construction, using the exclusive YWE 3mm wall three chambered high tensile marine grade aluminium extrusion. NO bolts or rivets are used at all, and the innate strength of the special material means that, in most applications, there is no need for internal or external framing.

Due to their rugged construction and high performance, Pro Punt ® have many applications where a no-frills marine workhorse is required. The versatility of the basic design is demonstrated by the variety of uses for which these vessels have been used. These include:

POWER SOURCE The standard Pro Punt ® is fitted with the transom to suit long shaft outboard propulsion. Provision can be made for the installation of alternative power sources, and these can be supplied & fitted if required.

PERFORMANCE

Shallow draught, exceptionally high payload capacity and relatively low power requirements with resulting economy of operation are features, which added to its rigidity and stability, give the Pro Punt ® the performance demanded by commercial operators, and recreational boaters. And now, with the additional feature of YWE’s performance “V” – an original YWE inhouse proven design - initially incorporated into the flood rescue range of Pro Punt ®, is now an option for Pro Punt ® boats over 4.8m long. This feature enables the punt to maintain a down transom trim at speed, much like a conventional V hull, virtually eliminating any dolphin effect commonly found in flat bottomed punts. It also enables, the punt to be fitted with a centre transom drain.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS There is almost no limit to the list of optional fittings and modifications that may be incorporated into these vessels to suit individual requirements. Examples of the most popular options include:

Outboard ‘pod’ compartment at the stern constructed onto the transom to take the outboard motor (single/dual) and house the fuel tanks - to give total work space in the boat, and to eliminate the risk of fuel contamination of cargo

Safety Council) & Maritime requirements for Commercial Registration and Full Survey to 1E /1D.
