Wright 1909 Military Flyer (Early Years Gallery) – Dayton residents Wilbur and Orville Wright developed this aircraft, which became the first military heavier-than-air flying machine.

B-29 Bockscar (World War II Gallery) – This B-29 dropped the Fat Man atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan, ending World War II.

B-52D (Southeast Asia War Gallery) – The B-52, first used during the Cold War, remains an important part of the U.S. Air Force bomber force today.

Space Shuttle Exhibit (Cold War Gallery) – Visitors can walk through a full-size representation of a space shuttle payload bay and look into the flight deck and mid-deck of NASA’s first Crew Compartment Trainer.
