•The YEAC is an employment program that offers FREE services to job seekers and employers•YEAC is an Employment Ontario program funded by the Ontario government•Offers a variety of interventions to assist Ontarians with obtaining sustainable employment•Provides various services to employers who are licensed to operate in Ontario

• Not in full-time school/training (more than 20 hours/week)

• Unemployed or working less than 20 hours/week

• Eligible to work in Canada• Resident of Ontario

• Individualized support and meetings with an Employment Consultant

• Assistance and coaching in resumé development, job search and networking strategies, interview preparation, career exploration and more

• Clarification on employment and training needs

• Establish short and long term goals• Develop an Employment Service Plan • Support and referral with Second Career and

other funded MTCU programs• Access to the Ottawa Job Match Network*

*for those who qualify

•The Resource Centre works on a walk-in basis

•Call or email to register for workshops

•There is an Employment Consultant available for

drop-in intakes everyday on a first-come first-served

basis

• Employment Consultants will refer clients to the

•Access to business related seminars and one-on-one support from a business consultant

•Gain practical work experience through a paid internship and placement with a mentor for youth within the Federal government

•Language Assessments in English or French, based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)

•Referrals to language training in English or French, such as LINC/CLIC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada), ELT/CLNA (Enhanced Language Training) and OSLT/FLAP (Occupation Specific Language Training)

•Depending on eligibility, access to FREE childcare, transportation allowance, full time and part time classes, beginner to advanced levels as well as employment focused language training and programs
