xyzmos next-generation e-signature suite it is very easy to add digital signature

SIGNificant ServerThanks to the SIGNificant Server, it is very easy and convenient to enhance an existing

infrastructure with all the necessary functionalities to support a totally paperless process.

Thus signature processes from multiple disparate or interconnected business processes

support signing and verifying with a consistent technology platform provided within a

service-oriented architecture.

Beyond the possibility of capturing a handwritten signature using a broad range of

capturing devices from various manufacturers, smartcards, tokens, and software

certificates are also supported. Given the high scalability of the SIGNificant Server,

millions of electronic signatures can be generated automatically and verified every hourin mass signature processes, enabling companies to realize a TRULY paperless

environment. Companies can verify all incoming electronically signed documents and

use handwritten signatures, smartcards, or software certificates for the approval

processes. Additional data to complete a form can be provided simply by scanning or

swiping a credit card or drivers license, or via a soft keyboard displayed on the signature

pad. All documents can be converted into secure PDF files or protected XML files. And

last but not least, companies can launch a verification service for use by their external

SIGNificant Server Web Signing Interface

The SIGNificant Server Web Signing Interface is an out-

of-the-box web interface extension of the SIGNificant

Server. It makes signing and sealing of electronic

documents via a web browser as easy as signing a

piece of paper.

The integration with the existing infrastructure is very

easy and convenient. Documents can be converted into

forgery-proof PDF files, displayed in the predefined web

interface, and signed using a broad range of signature-

capturing devices from various manufacturers. The

system is accessed through the applications Print

command or via a web service call.

SIGNificant Client Desktop Application

The SIGNificant Client enables signing and sealing

electronic documents using a broad range of signature-

capturing devices from various manufacturers, in

addition to smartcards, tokens, and software certificates.

The SIGNificant Client is especially suited to

professionals whose working conditions dont include

online connectivity on a regular basis, or for those who

wish to work offline. The SIGNificant Suite creates an

environment that allows document exchange between

the SIGNificant Client and the web interface of the

SIGNificant Server; thus, the signing process can start with one tool and continue with

the other, depending on the working conditions.

Simply Sign:

In order to sign a PDF document, simply open it in the SIGNificant Client and

either sign immediately or design the document according to your needs, before

having it signed.

Next, apply your handwritten biometric signature using a signature tablet. The

biometric data associated with your signature dynamics are embedded in the

document together with a digital signature.

Or, alternatively, Seal documents with a customizable seal imprint and verify

documents with a single mouse click!

Use either a companywide default certificate or a personal certificate located on a

smartcard, e-token, or any certificate store to create a digital signature.

The document is now signed and sealed against future modifications and can be viewed

and verified by any external user in the free Adobe Reader. The signed document can

be stored on your local computer and uploaded to the companys server at a later stage.

Features of SIGNificant Client

On-the-Fly Signing and Document Design The user can choose to

sign a document instantly or define signers and signature fields according

to his or her needs. This capability is extremely useful for last-minute

modifications.

Template Recognition The SIGNificant Client recognizes existing

signature field indications on predefined templates automatically and

assigns signers and signature fields accordingly.

Biometric Signature Authentication When the Authenticate box is

checked, the signature is compared with the enrolled signature profile

stored on the SIGNificant Biometric Server. The biometric data is also

embedded into the document for future analysis in case of a dispute.

Easy NavigationThe signers tree displays the signers and signature

fields defined for the current document, enabling easy navigation between

these fields.

Scanning and Attachments Attach any document to a signed file,

including a scanned drivers license or passport, or any native MS Office

document. Scanning can be easily initiated from within the client.

Forward to Next Signer Easily e-mail the signed document to the next

signer.

PDF Conversion The SIGNificant Offline Client is equipped with a PDF

printer, enabling conversion of any printable content to PDF format.

Versatile Signing Methods Using the SIGNificant Client, documentscan be signed with either a handwritten signature or a personal certificate.

Multiple Signatures per Document A document requiring multiple

signatures can be signed by different users, just as a paper document can

SIGNificant Biometric Server

The SIGNificant Server Web Signing

Interface and SIGNificant Client record the

handwritten signature of a person (including

measurements of parameters of pressure,

acceleration, speed, rhythm, and movement

in the air) and embed the signature into an

electronic document.

The SIGNificant Biometric Server takes this

ability one step further, enabling real-time biometric verification of a signature to the

SIGNificant platform by comparison of the recorded parameters of the handwritten

signature against the pre-enrolled profile. The possibility of a detailed protocol for eachsignature-relevant action makes it a total solution; documents are only processed if their

signers are authenticated and companies can prove who signed which document and

when.

SIGNificant Click2Sign

SIGNificant Click2Sign offers various ways of identifying signers, as well as keeping the

audit trail with the signed document, which makes these documents legally binding.

From a simple I agree checkbox to a sophisticated challenge/response protocol using

different channels:

PIN by SMS The most sophisticated identification method is the PIN-by-SMS

functionality. The user signs on the web using a PIN code that has been sent to a

user-specified cell number. Click2Sign logs all the steps, from the sending of the

PIN code to the entry of the PIN into the website, into an embedded audit trail,

assuring that the signer is the holder of the specified cell number. This method is

used today by wireless providers who know their customers cell numbers.

Overview

PIN by Email The PIN-by-email method works the same way as PIN by SMS,

except that the PIN is delivered to an email account rather than a cell number.

This method is useful if email addresses are known upfront. Click2Sign providesa configurable blacklist for email domains, so known SPAM domains can be

avoided.

Sign by Name The user signs by entering his name instead of a PIN.

Optionally, the name can be provided to the authentication system by a backend

system for comparison. The audit trail will show what the user entered and from

where.

Sign by Click The user signs by clicking an I agree checkbox. The audit trail

will show when the user clicked I agree and from where.

External audit trail The system can accept and integrate external audit trail

data into the audit logs. For example, a calling application could first authenticateusers by having them enter their credit card information and provide the response

from the clearinghouse to Click2Sign, thus consolidating the audit trail.

Overview

SIGNificant Inking Pen

Sometimes, the digital signature alone is not enough. When a handwritten signature

must be captured in both venues digitally and physically SIGNificants inking pen

offers an efficient, convenient solution. The SIGNificant inking pen enables the electronic

capture of the signature as it is written on paper.

Although one of the main benefits of adopting electronic signature solutions is going

paperless, there are cases in which the use of paper is inevitable for instance, when

the customer requires a printed receipt. In this case, the customer takes the signed

hardcopy and the company retains the electronic copy. The inking pen is also a valuable

tool in countries or sectors where electronic signatures are not yet legally binding and a

physical archive of signed documents is still required. The inking pen may also be useful

when a fully paperless process is not yet accepted by users.

Although they dont fully eliminate paper processes, SIGNificant inking pen solutions still

offer many of the other benefits of electronic signatures. These include improved

document security, as the biometric signature traits unique to each persons signature

are collected with the electronic signature, enabling the use of the SIGNificant Biometric

Servers real-time verification processes. In addition, the electronic document allows for

a streamlined business process, as the electronic version becomes immediately

available for real-time decision making or electronic archiving. Finally, the inking pencould be a first step toward the full elimination of paper, as it is fairly easy to advance to

a completely paperless solution as circumstances change and acceptance grows.

SIGNificant 4 Smartphones & Tablets

xyzmo SIGNificant is a device-independent solution,

meaning that it enables the use of a broad range of

signature-capturing devices from various manufacturers.

xyzmo is now extending these possibilities one step

further by supporting smartphones and tablets based on

Android and Apple iOS technology. This enables

customers to use these devices instead of, or in

combination with, signature pads, with all the

advantages of the xyzmo platform, including the

signature comparison.

Benefits of using xyzmos technology via smartphones and tablets:

Enables the signing of a document displayed in the browser via a smartphone

nearly everywhere: sign anywhere, at any time

Smartphones are becoming standard equipment, so sales agents, customers,

service personal etc. either have them already or will get them in the future. They

can thus be utilized to capture signatures without the need for an additional

signature pad.

Enables real-time signature comparison: depending on the capturing quality ofthe device, the false acceptance/rejection rates might be slightly poorer than

signature pads, but they are still much better than any traditional comparison.

Can be combined with traditional signature pads. This includes that a persons

profile can be set up with a signature pad, and then signatures captured via

smartphone can be compared with this profile later on and vice versa.
