Grade 5’s ‘Earn & Learn’ in the Nation of Quinistan!

As part of Book Week the grades Prep and 1/2's got to see a great creative story telling experience.

The show, entitled ‘Heroes and Villains’ saw two improvising performers create performed stories from student suggestions. The goal was to show our young writers how incredible stories can be made up from simple ideas – you just have to use your imagination!

This is was Bridget Van Vliet thought – ‘This photo was from a story about a monster who wanted to eat all the trees. There was one actor dressed as the monster. The other actor pretended to be a baby and she saved all the trees. They used our ideas and made the story really funny!

We look forward to seeing what creative stories were inspired by this very entertaining show.

‘HEROES AND VILLAINS’

COME ALIVE IN PREPS and

nation’s economy works during their unit

called ‘Earn & Learn.’ They created the nation

of Quinistan (because they are all Grade 5’s!)

and have been buying and selling a range of

goods and property within their ‘nations’

market. They even have two Prime Ministers!

Left is a copy of the Quinistan Times that

explains more about this great unit of work.
