This was the first lot of Photographs that I had taken on location. For part of the music video we went to a local bonfire night,fire work display so I though this was the perfect opportunity to take some pictures and started getting some bulk photography for my ancillary. Because I was shooting at night I had to use a high ISO to help capture as much light as possible. The Camera was used in manual mode so that I could get as much control over what the images tuned out to be as possible.

The Next lot of images were take whilst, again, filling for the music video. However these were just candid style shots of us on the train, on the bus and of the landscapes around us. When taking these pictures I had their pusher in mind so This really helped me later on when constructing my ancillary’s. Again I was shooting in low lighting, so high ISO and low Aperture where used to force as much light into the images as possible. I like this shoot as i think the the images that I got are very versatile and I could o a lot with them in my ancillary’s

Out of the contact sheet this is was one of the images that I wanted to use for my cover. I chose it because it ties in well with the music video and keeps the whole unit harmonious. So for the edit it was minor tweaking to help perfect the overall image. I initially started by tweaking the brightness and contrast. Then moving the levels up and down to add more depth to the shadows. Then using the curves adjustment tool I went into each RGBG channel and moved the curves to add more color and intensity to the image. I think the final image is an enhanced version of the original and would work well in the digi pak.

This anther another image that I saw and thought would work well in the digi-pak. However, for this image I had other ideas for edit techniques. Because the image was so dark to get any kind of clarity within the image the curves layer had to pulled right up. This then meant there was a slight shit in the tonal range in the image and added an ‘multi-colour’ kind of speckle to the shadows. This being very different and something that I really like about this edit.
