Planex xLocker2 can be softwired with either 240v GPOs or USB ports to provide laptop, tablet or phone charging Locker wiring consists of 3 elements : The double GPO or USB tile inside the locker: The softwiring cables running between the lockers: 20amp wall socket on a dedicated circuit [wired by a licensed electrician]

We are an Australian family owned company that has been designing and manufacturing storage solutions for commercial, government, educational, sports, hospitality and residential interiors since 1972.

We provide adaptive steel storage for the evolving workplace. Designed and made in Melbourne, our products use sustainable, locally sourced materials and ethically responsible work practices. The last 5 years have seen our range extend to locker solutions for flexible, activity-based spaces, empowering people to work more effectively in evolving workplaces. Believing that furniture should last, we have committed to designed-in longevity and the ability to reuse, reconfigure and recycle as needs change. We create solutions that are enduring; versatile; elegant; resolved; original and future-proof. We call this ‘built-out obsolescence™’. xLocker2 provides real design diversity by offering modular reconfigurable steel modules that connect together creating design harmonisation for every application, including device charging options.

Unlike basic steel lockers, xLocker2’s modularity combines form and function enabling dynamic workplace space planning and visual landscaping.

Our patented design allows for data and power reticulation and joining of dissimilar height and width units to create role-specific locker banks and spatial differentiation within the project. Creative local manufacturing opens up possibilities for combining shades and patterns. By providing designers with an extended colour palette and a wide range of standard perforations, xLocker2 creates options for customisation in extensive corporate fit-outs, while still remain wholly compatible with elegant boutique interiors. Planex’s xLocker2 is also fully compatible with most locking technologies ranging from simple mechanical locks; dial locks; electronic keypad; to fully hardwired and networked RFID systems. All this made possible as Planex is a local manufacturer that listens to client desires and excels in making them happen.

About Lucy SimpsonLucy Simpson from Gaawaa Miyay Studio has designed two exclusive perforation patterns for Planex. The designs capture a unique sensitivity and sense of place drawing on Baayangali (the natural world) and balance, commenting on sustainability, connection and belonging.
