Xgard Calibration

• Calibration of Xgard requires opening of detector cover,

user will need to disable alarm at control panel before

calibration.

• Tools required include flow adapter, multi-meter and

calibration gas (contact Crowcon for supply of calibration

gas)

• Follow Crowcon manual for calibration steps and

frequency of calibration

• Sensor replacement is simple, just plug in sensor module

• Many spare parts are common to all Xgard models, only

sensor module and amplifier PCB are unique to gas

types.

Key attributes and decision points

❖ Workhorse model with wide selection of sensors, enclosure materials and

mounting accessories

❖ mA or mV output only. Units comes without display or relays

❖ Easy replacement of spares and boards

❖ Intrusive calibration, which means hot work permit will be required if Xgard is

installed in a hazardous area.
