You might fondly remember getting your hands on your Xbox One for the first time, but can you believe it's already almost a year old?

The latest update was released in September 2014. As well as SmartGlass, the same update adds more features. The main headlines of the update include:

What’s this all about?

SmartGlass is a very interesting new feature that is bound to get a lot of use. It is the ability to use a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet as a second screen.

This second screen can be used to do a variety of things, from posting status updates, or even recording live footage of the games you are playing.

SmartGlass makes it possible to use your Android or iOS powered mobile device as a remote control to take command of all your home entertainment equipment.

When watching certain compatible TV shows the second screen can display related content. This can allow you to interact with some of the best shows on TV and make them even more enjoyable and engaging to watch.

The main reason to use SmartGlass is to record and share videos of your victorious game play. This makes it easier than ever to capture footage from your victories so that all your friends can see the fruits of your labour.
