What is XanaX?AKA: Zannies, Bars, Benzos, Alprazolam

Xanax is the trade name for Alprazolem. It is a prescription medicine that is used to treat severe anxiety. It’s a tranquilliser that is used to slow the brain and body down.

Some people buy Xanax from the internet or from street dealers to alter their mood. They wrongly believe it is safer than using illegal drugs.

The tablets that are most commonly available illegally are white and lozenge shaped. They are scored into four sections and have ‘XANAX’ or numbers printed on them.

the effectsXanax relieves tension and anxiety. It produces feelings of calm and relaxation. Users may feel very ‘chilled out’ and sleepy.

Xanax can cause short term memory loss.

The effects can last 6 hours or more depending on the dose. When used at high doses, Xanax can cause a ‘trippy’, euphoric feeling.

the RisksXanax slows your breathing down, so mixing it with alcohol or other drugs can be fatal.

Taking more than the prescribed dose can lead to severe side effects.

Xanax should only be used for a short period of time as it is extremely addictive. At high doses, users can become physically dependent within a few days.

If you stop taking Xanax suddenly, then you may suffer serious withdrawal symptoms such as panic attacks, headaches, nausea, depression, fits, tremors and insomnia.
