X-Ray Baggage Inspection system technical specification

• Input Power: 170-270 VAC, 47-53hz, operating@ 230VAC, 50Hz, (10-amp Max). The electricalsystem conforms to applicable sections of IEC for Electrical Safety and FCC Docket20780 for Electromagnetic capability. Should provide the UPS if required. Thesystem should be ready for scanning in less than 2 minutes once the power isresumed or the switch is activated again.

TUNNEL

• Tunnel Opening:  As per user requirement. Eg.1000mm W× 1000mm H.

CONVEYOR SYSTEM

• Conveyor Belt Height: Eg. 775MM (30.5”).

• Conveyor Speed: 0.2m per sec @50Hz.

• Conveyor Capacity:

Eg. 150KG equally distributed (300lb).

• Conveyor Belt: Heavy Duty and Non-Skid BELT.

• Conveyor Direction: 1.Bi-Directional Scanning (Normal). 2.Forward Only Scanning. 3.Automatic reverse of bag after scanning to the same position if required

X-RAY GENERATOR

• Voltage: 160KV constant potential tube operating@140 KV.

• Tube Current: 1mA max [email protected]

• Filtering: 5mm Al.

• Duty Cycle: 100%.

• Cooling: Sealed oil bath.

• Beam Orientation:

Vertically upward • Beam Divergence:

POWER

  80º. • Adjustment of Tube Current &Voltage:

Manual & Through Keyboard. The X-ray beam divergence should be such that the complete image of maximumsize of bag is displayed without corner cuts.

X-RAY SENSOR

• X-Ray Sensor:  Multienergy 1600 scintillation crystal detectors, Surface mountedin folded array (L-shaped) configuration for100% screening.

IMAGEING AND PERFORMANCE

• Resolution:

38 AWG guaranteed, 40 AWG typical. • Penetration:

27 mm steel guaranteed, 29 typical.for 140 KV generator   All the penetration and resolution condition should be met without pressing, anyfunctional key

• Spatial Resolution: 1mm both horizontal and vertical.

• Contrast Sensitivity:  At least 24 levels visible using a step wedge, 4096 gray levels stored.

• Zooming: Zoom 2× and 4×.

Step less or dynamic Zooming preferred • Organic and Inorganic Striping:

Organic, Inorganic, Mixture and Very high-density materials are displayed in differentcolors. Organic, Inorganic material stripping. • Variable contrast: Facility for variable contrast must be incorporated to allow enhancement of lighterand darker portion of the image.

• Threat Image projection (TIP): See Related Document.

• Assistance to operator

Real-time Assist to the operator for finding Explosives,Narcotics & high densityobjects. If the machine fails to penetrate a particular item, then an alarm (visual and audioboth) should be generated to notify the operator.

• Image Archiving : It should have the capability of archiving 10000+images based on requirement

• Image Revue: • Image Retrieval Mode:

Machine should be capable of recalling 15-20 previous images

operator can scroll through previous images. • TIP Retrieval Mode:

operator can scroll through images of missed Fictional Threat Image (FTI)projections.

• Other Image Options: High Penetration, Reverse Monochrome and Edge Enhancement.

All image options are available in real time at the touch of a button, without

stopping the conveyor belt.

DISPLAY

• Video Display: 21 inch LED or LCD monitor

COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS  (Minimum)

RADIATION SAFETY

• Leakage Radiation: The radiation level should not exceed accepted health standard (0.1mR/Hr) at a

distance of 5Cm from external housing. Lead impregnated safety screens should beavailable at either end of the tunnel.

• Dose Per Inspection: Less than 0.1mR typical.

X-ray systems are certified to be in full compliance with all radiation safetyrequirements and external emissions limits as specified in the United States Code ofFederal Regulations, Title 21,Section 1020.40(21CFR1020.40) .

Before installation of the machine the supplier/ manufacturers should furnish NOC from

Atomic Energy Regulatory Board regarding radiation safety

OPERATIONAL STANDARDS

Complies with published International Standards including the U.S Federal Aviation Administration Standards, “Use of X-Ray Systems”(Federal Standards 14 CFR108.17 and 14 CFR129.26).

The company manufacturing the equipment should have ISO certification formanufacturing and servicing of X-Ray screening machines.

FILM SAFETY

Guaranteed for high-speed films up to ISO 1600(33DIN).
