We are more powerful than we think. We all have the ability to create the life we want. We just need to learn how to do it. And, if you were successful in the military, you of all people can really do anything you set your mind and intention toward. Join the discussion to help gain clarity on deciding what you want, believing it's possible and envisioning the life of your dreams. Continued

He joined the university in 1972. Dr. Rabin discovered early on that stress exerts a profound influence on human health. His work has since focused on the effects of stress and the pathways of communication between the brain and the body. He has been instrumental in moving science and research to real-world application by developing programs designed to help people identify, learn and adhere to behaviors that will maintain wellness and lower risk of developing serious and potentially life threatening conditions and diseases. His research has yielded over 300 publications, and his laboratory has trained more than 50 young scientists who are making their own contributions to medicine – which he once described as his single-most significant accomplishment. As a result of his work, people of all backgrounds and lifestyles are learning how to more effectively cope with stress; new approaches to disease have been understood; mind-body connections are more widely and universally recognized; and innovative approaches to health care management have emerged. We come home, home, home We come home From that war Feeling all alone But we come home

We come home, home, home We come home The same man But different than before We come home

We come home To our momma’s arms Feeling safe and warm We come home We come home To our kids who’ve grown Who we barely know ‘Cause we’re always gone We come home To our sister’s prayers That take us everywhere We come home

Made a family there Now we’re everywhere Doesn’t quite seem fair But we come home Made a bond in time Just trying to stay alive Sometimes even thrived And we come home

I see bombs and I’m at home Just riding along and I see bombs Tryin’ to do me harm I see bombs, bombs, bombs I see bombs I see bombs Off in the distant sky And it’s the 4th of July But I see bombs

Tryin’ to do me harm And I’m at home, home, home I am at home

Lost my brother there Laid down his life there Doesn’t quite seem fair But he went home Lost my brother there I see him everywhere Mostly at night And we’re back in the fight The one that took his life When he went home Oh I miss him so

We don’t sleep We don’t rest We come home And do our best From long days And long nights From doing our job To doing what’s right We come home Still fighting for our lives And the demons inside We come home

But we’ll roll on We’ll be strong We will make it through this storm With my brothers in arms “cause we know we’re not alone And to honor those who have gone And sacrificed their lives We’ll roll on ‘Cause we come home

In memory of Ronnie, who did not come home with me

Meet Our Legislators Allegheny County. In 1999, he ran for one of the district council seats on the newly-formed County Council and was elected to

represent a district that included suburban municipalities and city neighborhoods. He held the seat for twelve years and was

elected as Council President four times before leaving to run for the office of County Executive.

making our airport better, ensuring our public transit system is reliable and sustainable, and providing a climate where a skilled

workforce is a key component of our growth. Rich’s interest in making government more effective and efficient began with the

consolidation of row offices when he was on Council, has expanded to include a top to bottom review of county departments and

functions by the County Manager and direction to make changes to ensure that county government is responsive to taxpayers and
