more and more youngsters

are watching less TV but

spending approximately 3-4

hours per day surng thenet, with the most popular

network being Facebook,

with over 150 million users !



A study by leading magazines reveals

startling news. As with anything in life the Facebook experience

has its pluses and minuses. Millions have managed to reconnect

with childhood best friends, stay in touch with relatives abroad, or

maybe promote a small, innovative business idea. However, whilst

the male brain may not have tapped in to the full manipulationpotential of this networking tool, chances are several of the

Women post passive-aggressiveFacebook status updatesWhether it’s because she hates

confrontation or she just wants

the world to know what a jerk

her boyfriend is, some women

use their status updates to

air complaints about their

relationship instead of sitting

down and talking it out directly.For example: Post-breakup, a

woman might post status updates

that hint at a crazy social life:

“Melanie is exhausted from a

crazy night!” or “Jessica is having

a great day,” are both the types

of messages that say a lot more

when they come right aftera big breakup.

Posting a fake relationshipstatus

Some unattached women choose

“in a relationship” for their

prole just so people won’t

start matchmaking or single-

girl-pitying. A single woman of

a certain age is a prime target

for people who think everyone

should be paired off in “happilyever after” relationships. Some

single women even arrange with

one of their close girlfriends to

be each other’s “in a relationship

with” person to avoid this kind of

condescending sympathy. They’d

rather raise questions about their

sexual orientation than leave thespace blank.

Men Let Their Stupidity Show There is something about

Facebook that makes even

quiet, down-to-earth guys post

quotes like “Don’t hate the

player, hate the game”, or write

status updates that read, “Lee isgiving out free mammograms,”

and upload shirtless photos of

themselves that bestow that ‘you

can see but you can’t touch’ look?

Maybe they think it’s going to

increase the wall posts by a few

decibels, but the behavior only

helps to make girls roll their eyesin disillusion.

Men Ask Ladies out....In FrontOf All Their FriendsNext time a guy gets tempted to

send a woman a wall post that

reads, “Let me know if you want

to ‘meet up at the bar tonight,”

he should imagine standing upin front of a room full of family,

friends, ex-boyfriends, and co

workers and then asking the same

question again. Girls don’t want

all 889 Facebook friends to be a

part of the courting process. Gone

are the old-school, romantic days

of SMSing and emailing.

Whilst admitting that Askmen.com made some valid remarks, the editors

at Cosmo Magazine were quick to hit back claiming that men’s Facebook

activity is just as worrying.



Men Hide Their RelationshipStatusThe beauty of Facebook is that

ladies can instantly nd out if a

guy is available or off-limits. No

time wasted trying to nd out if

the guy is “In a Relationship”,“Engaged”, or “Married”. But

more often than not that info

specically is kept a secret, so

ladies are forced to look through

and analyze photos and wall posts

to gure it out — which makes

them feel like stalkers.

Men Un-tag themselves In PhotosThere is something strangely

offensive when a female scrolls

through her recently uploaded

albums only to discover that a guy

she tagged has un-tagged himself.

If a photo of the BBQ he ate last

Saturday is prole-worthy, ladies

can’t help but wonder why the

nice shots got turned down.

He’s not exactly graced with the statureof a 7-foot porno star, but Gius towersover us all.My rst experience of hismusic was not in a massively attendedparty; as a young midget I was blownaway by Gius’ spinning acrobatics andinstinctive on-stage air at a languageschool beach party some years ago.Needless to say, I was smitten. I can’t

quite put my nger on it. I would saythat Gius’ music has a certain je ne saisquoi, except je ne sais pas what je nesais quoi really is.

Anyhow, as my height (and breasts)caught up with my age (thank you God,better late than never) Gius was alsobusy nding himself as a pioneering DJ

in Paceville. I was riveted, and watchedhim progress closely. When he stage-dived at one of his gigs, I broke two ribs.When he raised his hands in the air, sosuave, so debonair, I almost fainted.

And once, when I got inappropriatelyclose to Gius, his girlfriend came closeenough to knock some sense into me(by beating me senseless). Luckily, Imanaged to knock her out by hittingher st with my face. No one messeswith Gius’ biggest fan. Gius is quickbecoming the big boss of our campusDJ scene, etching his music into the

soundtrack to our collective memory.

For starters, whenever Gius lockshimself in his studio for weeks on endit sucks for his social life, but reallyrocks for the rest of us. Secondly, andmost importantly, while Gius’ currentgirlfriend is busy helping him designinghis yers; I’ll probably have a small

(yet denite) window of opportunity tosneak backstage while she’s not looking.All I need now is some sexy lingerie,champagne, and a really persuasive pickup line.



It’s high time we stop pointing our fngers at the authorities

for falling short on their part….AND TAKE RESPONSIBILTY for

our actions. You Can Keep your rubbish !!
