• Luke 10:19-20• 19 Behold, I give you the authority [exousia] to

trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

• Strong’s Reference Number 1411 – Dynamis (some say Dunamis)


– Dynamis typically references to supernatural power. Can refer to the power of God (Mat. 6:13, Mark 12:24), of Christ (Mark 6:5, Luke 10:13), of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:14, Acts 1:8), of demonic spirits (Rom. 8:38), of Satan (2 Thess. 2:9).




Matthew 10:1“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power [exousia] over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.”

John 5:26-2726 “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority [exousia] to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.”

• 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

The Authority of Jesus’ Teachings

Ps. 7:8 - YHWH shall judge the peoples

Ps. 9:8 - He shall judge the world in righteousness, and He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.

Ps. 75:7 - But Elohim is the Judge. He puts down one, and exalts another.

Ps. 82:8 - Arise, O Elohim, judge the earth; f0r You shall inherit all nations
