Rouge Park is an important part of the Greater Toronto Area’s green infrastructure, providing ecological services such as clean air and abundant clean water; we aim to encourage our visitors to embrace these values

It is the only place in the GTA for Torontonians to easily and conveniently access the Greenbelt

Rouge Park offers approximately 7 million people in the Greater Toronto Area a near-urban wilderness experience, within an hour’s drive

• 29 walks offered each month• Wednesday mornings• Weekends: 9:30, 12:30, 2 (+1 more

in summer)• Certain holidays i.e. Boxing Day, New

Year, Family Day

• Variety of topics on nature interpretation, trail skills, benefits of trail walking, painting and photography and more

• +/- 55 current volunteers• Walk leaders and ambassdors

The chance for sightings of elusive wildlife make each guided walk a special event

Natural surface trails give us the chance to track wildlife who have crossed the path

Guided walks on Rouge Park’s trails immerse visitors in golden hues without the long drive to northerly locales.

Uniformed volunteer walk leaders

Each walk takes on its own character.

Trailhead signs with information on the Park’s code of conduct, safety and way-finding, plus meeting point signs, help visitors know they are in the right place
