After the year 1989 the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research initiated three bilateral grant programs: Austria – Czech Republic Austria – Hungary Austria – Slovakia
Co-Funding by the national ministriesIn Austria: Funding by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research
Administration: 3 separate head offices in the partner countries
OeAD-GmbH is the partner of the “Aktionen” in Austria
Main Target Group: Young researchers of the 4 countries

„Aktionen“ – Project support
Joint application by researchers from a university in Austria and in one of the partner countries
Project applications must be submitted at the head office of the respective “Aktion”
All academic disciplines are supported
Duration of the projects is usually limited to one year
Up to four closing dates per year for project application
Application forms to be downloaded from the website of the respective “Aktion”

Scholarships
Target group: students, scholars, researchers and professors of universities and eligible institutions in the partner countries and in Austria
Closing date of application: up to four times a year, depending on the program and the “Aktion”
Duration of stay: from 3 days up to 9 months depending on the program and the “Aktion”
