WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) began in 1998 in Springdale Arkansas.

Watch D.O.G.S. has brought hundreds of thousands of fathers and father figures into our nation’s classrooms and hallways.

Currently, there are 4,049 active WATCH D.O.G.S. schools in 46 states

What is it?

What is the purpose of Watch D.O.G.S. ?

● To provide positive male role models

● To provide extra sets of eyes and ears on our campus.

➔ Students with parents who are involved in their school. . .◆ tend to have fewer behavioral problems

◆ tend to maintain better academic performance

➔ Positive effects of parental involvement have been demonstrated at both the elementary and secondary levels across several studies, with the largest effects often occurring at the elementary level.

7:55-8:15 Escort your student to morning assembly in the gym, come stand at the front with us, and wait to be introduced! Smile! Give high-fives to students as they exit gym! Receive your daily schedule after all students exit!

8:15-8:30 Patrol hallways, parking lot, buildings, and perimeter.

8:30-9:15 Volunteer for Mrs. Chancey’s Kinder, Room 305 9:15-:9:45 Volunteer for Mrs. Jones’ PreK, Room 3079:45-10:30 Volunteer for Mrs. Haig’s 2nd, Room 324

10:30-11:00 Lunch with Allie at the designated PARENT tables in the cafeteria 11:00-11:30 Recess with Allie

11:30-12:15 Cafeteria Duty During this time, please help the cafeteria monitors/custodians monitor students, clean up messes, and wipe tables as needed. Please help students line up, focusing on picking up trash/crumbs, walking, and voices quiet!!!

12:15-12:30 Escort 4th grade out to recess. . . 4th Grade Kickball!!!!

12:30-1:15 Volunteer for Mrs. Rhea’s 3rd Science/SS, Room 204 1:15-2:00 Volunteer for Mrs. Wishkoski’s 1st (1/2 class and 1/2 specials) 2:00-2:25 Volunteer for your wife’s class!2:25-3:00 Volunteer for Mrs. Chancey’s specials (Art, Music, PE, Computer, Library)

3:15-3:45 Assist with student dismissal on the bus loading ramp. Your student can help you give high-fives to students as they enter the bus and as you complete your great day as our awesome WATCHDOG DAD!!!
