• Rockwell was denied from the U.S. navy for being to short and to light
• After marrying his first Wife he was treated to psychiatric treatment

• During World War 2 to represent the nations freedoms Rockwell painted the Four Freedoms
• As segregation was coming to an end and Ruby Bridges was to be the first African Americans to go to a white public school Rockwell was influenced to paint about more serious topics like racism
