    WRITING SKILLS YAHOO! USER GROUP

    Code of ConductThe WRITING SKILLS user group is hosted by Yahoo, and Yahoo itself has its own rules and guidelines which can be found at:

    http://www.yahoogroups.com

    To become a member of the Writing Skills user group, you must be a student at the Polytechnic University of Timisoara,Romania.

    The Writing Skills user group gives its members a place to meet, interact, and share ideas and course materials with each

    other. To view the course materials you need to download and install Acrobat Reader from

    http://www.adobe.com

    All course materials are password protected. In order to read them, you need a password which will be given to you in class.

    The Writing Skills user group works best when people remember a few rules. For your use of the group, some of the key

    things to remember are:

    You must behave in a sociably acceptable manner.

    You are not derogative of any one person, in regards to their personality or their deeds.

    You do not use objectionable language nor put yourself across in a way that may be contrived as offensive by anothermember.

    You may not harass, abuse, threaten, or advocate violence against other members or individuals.

    You may not post content which infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties.

    You must stay on topic. i.e. Writing Skills related matters. If you want to discuss a topic that is not related to the Writing

    Skills user group, try going to another topic area or create a new one at:

    You may not use the Writing Skills user group for commercial or advertising purposes.

    You may not use the user group as a source for spam mail.

    You may not post content that is harmful to minors.

    You may not post content that is obscene, otherwise objectionable, or in violation of state law.

    You are instructed to remove and delete any irrelevant header information from messages which are being forwarded to the

    list.

    You may not discuss private matters on the list. The Writing Skills moderator reserves the right to remove members that

    he/she determines, in his/her sole discretion, to be inappropriate and in violation of our rules.

    If you are unsure whether your content is consistent with these policies, please err on the side of caution and do not post

    your content in the Writing Skills user group.

    Your Writing Skills user group account may be removed immediately and without notice if you have acted inconsistently with

    the spirit or the letter of the Writing Skills code of conduct, or you have violated or tried to violate the rights of others.
