Greetings Roses and friends! Although the hours of daylight have begun to grow shorter, we have been blessed with beautifulweekends!

Lynn led us on a scenic ride into several counties and two states for a lunch on the North East River. I discovered that Suzy K shares my delight in trying to guess which routes we are taking during ourride. Lynn’s route surprised me at almost every turn!

I was quite upset that due to work constraints, I was unable to travel to the Wyoming Ride-In. Somefriends of mine made up for it by taking me on a tour of New England a few weeks ago. You Just Never Know… By Lynn M

You just never know who you’regoing to meet 1700 miles away fromhome. While touring SD and taking inthe sights of the Badlands NationalPark, I was excited to meet severalpeople from home, and YES, I meanLancaster and Reading PA. First, when SilverFox and I stopped for gasjust before entering the park, a vanlabeled “Governor Mifflin School District” was also at the pumps. Can there be more than one Governor Mifflin District? No! I hadthe privilege of meeting several teachers and students travelingon a student work project. That was pretty cool.

Then about an hour later, when my ride through the Badlandswas coming to an end, Inoticed a big white bus inan overlook parking area.SilverFox and I swungaround because on theside of the bus it said“Troop 99 Lancaster, PA”.Two local sightings in oneevening?! Sure was.

I found out a Lancaster Boy Scout troop was heading home froma service project trip. And would you believe they were the troopfrom Highland Presbyterian Church, the church about a blockaway from my childhood home of 18 years. Whenever we got agood snow, my friends and I would sled down that church’s hill. What a small world.

But that’s not all SilverFox and I encountered that evening. I also came across Gertie, Gracie, Geraldine, Gregor andGardenia’s long-lost cousins at the Badlands Ranch Store.

Sometimes you just gotta “believe”things happen for some unknownreason. Earlier during my travels inWyoming, I spotted a jolly old man atSonny’s RV in Casper. I found outSanta was on vacation and neededsome summertime repairs to his sleigh.Good thing I was on my best behavior! You just never know who you will meet.

…and look who Lynn bumped into a bit closer to home! During OC Bike Week she spotted Infamous Ryders’ Clutchwith BonBon at the Assateague Visitor Center.

Bernie, Sigi, AudreyDawn and I had fun explor-ing the Grand Teton andYellowstone National Parksfor four days prior to the2019 WOW® RideIn inCasper, WY. Bernie, Sigiand Audrey Dawn rodetheir bikes and I followedin the truck and camperwith SilverFox transportedinside. We traveled fromCasper to Moran, WY and set up camp at the Fireside RV Park.We listened to fun stories by the fire, and toured Jackson Holeand the Grand Teton National Park.

We then traveled north to Wapiti National Park Campgroundand saw Mother Nature at her best rejuvenating the fire-ravagedsections of Yellowstone. We camped for two nights and fromthere we visited Cody, rode the Beartooth Highway (completewith snow!) and had dinner in Red Lodge, MT. While leavingWapiti Campground and heading to Casper for the actual RideInevent we found ourselves full throttletrying to out-run a severe thunder-storm.

Lots of fun was had during theRideIn. We ate good food, indulgedin special treats, experienced arodeo, and Audrey Dawn trans-formed into a cowgirl. YeeHaw!!
