    1/1

Tactical Bombing MissionStrategic and Tactical bombing were in their infancy during the First World War. Yet, the achievements accrued

by aerial bombing are impressive: London was bombed, a bombing mission against Berlin barely failed when

the pilot flew past the German capital, and tactical bombing of railheads, airfields, and troop concentrations

were very effective (if not in material damage, then in lowing of enemy morale). Most of the effective tactical

bombing missions were executed by aircraft designed for that purpose, but often (especially with the Allies) it

would be carried out by obsolescent fighter aircraft.

Note :Bombers are designated by an asterisk (*)Setup: Place two sets of railhead, airfield, & troop concentration cards randomly on the defenders side of themapboard.

Turn Order: Player(s) with the bombers move FIRSTStarting Positions: Allied aircraft start on the NORTH edge of the mapboard while the German aircraft starton the SOUTH edge.

Victory Conditions: Game ends when all aircraft of one side are either destroyed of moved off the mapboardOnce aircraft move off the mapboard, they can never re-enter. Player(s) who accumulates the most points at the

    end of the game wins.

    Points awarded as follows:

    a) 9 points for each successfully bombed targetb) 6 points for each bomber shot downc) 4 points for each non-bomber aircraft shot downd) All tied scores are considered a draw.

To successfully bomb a target, the bomber must meet the following flying conditions:

    a) The bomber must not be in a turn maneuver just prior to the target.b) The bomber must be flying straight and level over the target.c) The bomber can accomplish a turn maneuver after passing over the target

HOUSE RULE: If still tied, the one with less damage to their crate is the winner meaning he was better skilledat maneuvering their crate without being riddled with bullet holes!
