Thank you to everyone who supported the Thank you to everyone who supported the $3.0 in 24MO! Campaign and to those who attended the reception. This two year campaign officially ended

on October 31, 2016. To date, the campaign allowed us to pay for the cost of nearly two of the five floors. Your generosity has been overwhelming.

As you can see, we still have a way to go. For those who have not completed their pledge, we want

you to continue your payments even though the campaign has ended from an accounting point of view. All of your future payments will be noted to your pledge. We ask you to continue to support AbyWest. New initiatives will roll out soon as we continue to forge ahead to reach our goal of

$8MM to complete the entire five floor community center.

We continue to strive to attain 100% participation because we want others to know our membership is committed to this effort. Your support is greatly appreciated!

THE ABYWEST COMMUNITY CENTER IS COMING ALIVE!

As we continue fundraising to meet our $12 million goal to complete AbyWest,

we would like to share preliminary renderings of the Community Center’s

Reception Area and Fellowship Hall.

We envision a space where members can gather and fellowship before and

after worship services, and it would also function as a Hall for special occasions

and events.

We urge you to continue supporting this effort, and remain diligent and prayerful

as we strive to reach our goal.

vegetables, canned fruits, and canned soup.

lobby reception desk any weekday during office

hours: (10 AM – 6 PM), and/or on Sundays

following worship services. We thank God

for your Spirit of Generosity!

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me

something to drink” – MATTHEW 25:35

Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood," by Trevor Noah. Ministry’s

next gathering takes place on Saturday, September 9th in Central Park. (110th Street & Malcolm X Blvd).

BIBLE QUEST

How many questions can you answer before checking the Abyssinian church

website for he correct Bible references?

http://abyssinian.org/ministry/christian-education/abyssinian-institute-for-

christian-education/ Stay intentional about taking time to center yourself, as you

read the entire chapter where answers are found.

1. Which king permitted the Jews to return to Jerusalem from exile in

Babylon?

2. Which disciple was freed from prison by an angel?

3. Who were the two disciples that healed the man placed at the temple

gate called Beautiful?

4. Who was set free from sickness after touching the edge of Jesus’

cloak?
