Bloomfield Baptist Family: “„Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel‟ (which means, God with us).” (Matthew 1:23) In Matthew’s gospel, we are reminded of the words of the prophet Isaiah, who wrote that Jesus would be called Immanuel. Matthew gives insight to Isaiah’s words by explaining that Im-manuel means, “God with us”. What a wonderful reminder this is for those who follow Christ. Have you been discouraged in 2017? Have you felt alone? Have you experienced a time where you wondered where God was in the midst of your pain? Take heart......you are not alone. Jesus is Immanuel......God with us! As you celebrate our Savior this Christmas Day, remember that Jesus Christ came that we might have life. He brought light into our darkness. He brought joy into our pain. He brought the assurance that He would never leave us or forsake us. Merry Christmas from my family to yours! Special Called Member’s Meeting, December 17, 2017 Update: Meeting called to order by Moderator, Carrie Hahn at the end of the 8:30 worship service. Motion made by the Stewardship Committee to accept the 2018 Proposed Church Budget. Motion passed with no opposition. The meeting went into recess. Meeting was resumed at the end of the 11:00 worship service at which time the above mentioned motion was presented and voted on. Motion passed with no opposition. Meeting adjourned.
