World’s First International Computer Art Exhibit. Rene Pardo and Remy Landau while at the National Film Board in 1967 organized the world’s first international computer art exhibit held at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Works included the Digital Mona Lisa created by Peterson at Control Data by scanning the original at the Louvre in France and transmitting digits via satellite for printing in shades of gray created by superimposing alphanumerics and characters.

World’s First International Computer Art Exhibit.

The exhibit included works from Lloyd Sumner, Frieder Nake ofGermany, Boeing Aircraft’s “ergonomic man”, Ken Knowlton’s wallmurals digitizing birds in flight and many more. (Pardo bought many ofthe prints from the collection).
