Why Urgent Care?

• Multidisciplinary team work is a key practice in managing patient care.• In order to work effectively as part of the team, you need more than just an understanding of your own role• you also need to consider the roles of the other professionals who are providing care. • If a multidisciplinary team fails to function, a worst case scenario: death of the patient, can ultimately result. • A critical area in which this increased role awareness is needed include situations where Urgent Care is performed.
