Record Student Reading with iMovie:
Did you know that you can use iMovie to record students while they read? It's very simple, and you can use most Macs with iMovie on it. Having children listen to themselves after they read is a great way to help them with oral reading fluency, and it will help you with informal assessments. This before-school workshop will run from 7:15-8:25 on Thursday, May 7th in the Coolidge Media Center. Please bring your charged laptop or let me know if you need to borrow one. Bringing the World into Our Classrooms
Participants will learn how to use and maintain a digital camera so they can have one all year in their classroom. They will learn iphoto, how to use the camera and how to import pictures. There will be a discussion about ways to integrate the camera to enhance curriculum. Please bring your laptop.

Design your own "SIMPLE" Web Site
Learn to design your own teacher or team website. We will use an on-line program to create a website that is easy for both your students and their parents to access. Websites are a great way to communicate with parents. It allows parents to be more aware of what their child is learning and what deadlines and assignments they are responsible for. In this workshop we will register your website, set up different pages that you can build on, learn how to upload your documents, images and links. This class if for the beginner web designer. Bring your own laptop with at least one homework assignment or handout saved on your desktop.

Learn to Use Classroom Jeopardy
Classroom Jeopardy is an interactive game that brings the sights and sounds of the TV show Jeopardy to your classroom. In this workshop you will learn how to set up the equipment, play a ready made game, download games from the Internet, and write your own games using the Jeopardy Editor template. If you register early we may be able to download the editor to your laptop remotely so you will have it already installed at the workshop. Bring your laptop.
