TeachersfromWicomico,SomersetandWorcestercountiesorlocalteacherswithdailytransportationtotheUniversityofMarylandEasternShore(UMES)areinvitedtoparticipateinapaid,two-weekon-campusworkshoptogaintoolstocreatelessonplans,educationaland/orlabactivitiesinenvironmentalscience.ParticipatingteacherswillhavetheopportunitytolearnfromandworkwithfacultyintheNSFCREST-CISCEPandNOAALMRCSCprogramsatUMES.Participantswillparticipateinseveralfollow-upsessionsthroughouttheyeartoevaluatethelessonplansproducedintheworkshopandassesstheeffectivenessoftheprogram.TheworkshopisguidedbytheCenter’sEducationandOutreachCoordinator,PatriciaGoslee,Ed.D.andisfundedbytheNationalScienceFoundation.

INCENTIVESTeacherswillreceiveastipendandlunchduringtheworkshopandeither.Programstaffcansign-offoncontinuingeducationorprofessionaldevelopmentcreditsifneeded.
