Disassembly

Raise the Cover Rear Assy at the top and remove it.

Insert finger and raise the bottom of the Battery to release it.

Remove the Battery.

3.2 Co-Brand LabelCarefully insert the dentist hook underneath the Co-BrandLabel and slide the dentist hook back and forth to detach theCo-Brand Label.

Disassembly

Remove the Co-Brand Label with a pair of tweezers.

Scrap! Not to be reused!

3.3 Cover Front AssyRemove the two screws by using the torx bit no. 5.

There are several snap hooks securing the Cover FrontAssy.

Use fingers to pull the Cover Front Assy in the direction ofarrows to unsnap the hooks on both sides.

Disassembly

Unsnap the top hook in the direction of arrow.

Push the Carrier Metal Frame in the direction of arrow until itbecomes released.

The Cover Front Assy removed.

3.4 Speaker Box AssemblyUnsnap this hook by using Front Opening Tool.

Disassembly

Turn the Speaker Box Assembly in the direction of the arrowto release the two hooks as indicated by the pointers andremove the Speaker Box Assembly.

3.5 Key Flex Total AssyInsert dentist hook in this corner to detach the Key FlexTotal Assy.

Remove the three screws by using the JCIS No. 0 bit.

Carefully open the Key Flex Total Assy in the direction ofarrow to gain the access to the connector.

Disassembly

Unlock the connector by using the Front Opening Tool.

Remove the Key Flex Total Assy.

3.6 Cover Rear Metal AssyRemove the five screws by using the JCIS No. 0 bit.

Lift up the Cover Rear Metal Assy from the right and releasethe hooks on the left.

Disassembly

Pull upwards and remove the Cap BtB Hole Cover by usingthe Front Opening Tool.

3.11 Carrier Xenon FrameAssy

Disconnect the connector by using the Front Opening Tool.

Push the tab through the hole by using the Front OpeningTool.

Raise the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy until this side isreleased from the metal carrier using the Front OpeningTool.

Disassembly

Push the tab through the hole by using the Front OpeningTool until the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy is released fromthe metal carrier.

Do not damage the two key domes during theoperation!

Open the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy.

Carefully turn the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy in the directionof arrow to gain the access to connector.

Disconnect the connector by using the Front Opening Tool.

Disassembly

Remove the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy.

3.12 CameraDisconnect the connector by using the Front Opening Tool.

Remove the Camera with a pair of tweezers.

3.13 Carrier Metal Frame AssyRaise the PCBA until it is released from the Carrier MetalFrame Assy.

Carry out the replacement as described below.


REMOVAL

Read the old KRH Label and/or write the information into theLabelMake program before removal.

Carefully remove the Label by using the tweezers.

INSTALLATION

Check that the proper label format is loaded in the Zebraprinter and write a new Label by using LabelMakesoftware.

Put the new KRH Label in place.

Only one label is allowed!

4.18 Camera Key




REMOVAL

Use the tweezers to push the Camera Key from outside untilthe key becomes released.

Remove the Camera Key.

INSTALLATION

Note the orientation of the new Camera Key to be installed.

Place the Camera Key in its corresponding hole and pressto secure the attachment.

REMOVAL

Use the tweezers to push the Volume Key from outside untilthe key becomes released.

Remove the Volume Key.

INSTALLATION

Note the orientation of the new Volume Key to be installed.

4.20 Latch Key




REMOVAL

Remove the Latch Key with tweezers.

INSTALLATION

Place this end of the new Latch Key in its correspondingpocket.

Push from inside until it is properly installed.

4.21 Light Guide Side




REMOVAL

Insert a dentist hook into the corner of the Light Guide Sideand pull upwards until it is detached.

Peel it off by using the tweezers.

INSTALLATION

Attach a new Light Guide Side according to the hole.

4.22 Light Guide Front

Follow the 3.1 3.3 & 3.5 Disassembly instructions!



REMOVAL

Insert a dentist hook into the corner of the Light Guide Frontand pull it upwards until it is detached.

Peel it off using the Flex Film Assembly tool.

INSTALLATION

Attach a new Light Guide Front according to the two guidingholes.

4.24 Antenna Main Flex




REMOVAL

Insert the dentist hook underneath the corners of theAntenna Main Flex and pull upwards to detach it from theSpeaker Box Assy.


INSTALLATION

Remove the protection film attached on the antenna padbefore installation!

Note the three guiding holes.

Replacement: Antenna Main Flex

Attach a new Antenna Main Flex according to the threeguiding holes by using the tweezers.

Press with fingers to secure the attachment.

Turn the Speaker Box Assy over.

Press on this corner to secure the attachment.

4.25 Liquid Intrusion Indicator


INSPECTION

To check whether the Liquid Intrusion Indicator has beenactivated (reddish color).

If activated:



REMOVAL

Release the activated Liquid Intrusion Indicator by using adentist hook.

Remove it by using the tweezers.

INSTALLATION

Attach the new Liquid Intrusion Indicator by using thetweezers.

4.26 Shield Can Lid BB1




REMOVAL

Insert a dentist hook in the corner of the Shield Can Lid BB1and pull upwards to release it.


INSTALLATION

Attach a new Shield Can Lid BB1 on top of the shield fenceby using the tweezers.

Remove the Mic by pulling upwards with a pair of tweezers.

REMOVAL

Peel off the Foil by using the Flex Film Assembly Tool.

INSTALLATION

Attach a new Foil in place aligning the edge of the cameraFPC by using the Flex Film Assembly Tool.

4.30 PBA M2 FPC




REMOVAL

To remove PBA M2 FPC, four places need to be detachedfrom the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy as shown in picture:Volume Key domes (1), Vibrator pads (2), Ear Speaker pads(3) and M2 card holder (4).

Insert the dentist hook underneath (1) and slide it forth andback until it is released.

Insert the dentist hook underneath (2) and pull it upwardsuntil it is released.

Replacement: PBA M2 FPC



Take care not to damage the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy!

Remove the PBA M2 FPC.

INSTALLATION

There are seven guiding indicators on the PBA M2 FPCneed to be aligned when being installed.

Insert the FPC to the slot on the Carrier Xenon Frame Assyby using the Flex Film Assembly Tool..

Attach (4) in place according to the guiding indicators andpress to secure the attachment by using the Flex FilmAssembly Tool.

Attach (2) in place according to the guiding indicator andpress to secure the attachment by using the Flex FilmAssembly Tool.

REMOVAL

Insert the Front Opening Tool underneath the tab of the EarSpeaker and pull upwards to release it from cavity.

Remove it with a pair of tweezers.

Make sure the gasket is in place on new connector!

REMOVAL

Insert the dentist hook into the corners of the Shield Can LidBB2 and pull upwards to release it.

Remove it with a pair of tweezers.

INSTALLATION

Place the new Shield Can Lid BB2 on top of the shield fenceand press gently until it is securely attached.

REMOVAL

5.2 Carrier Metal Frame AssyPlace the PCBA on the Carrier Metal Frame Assy.

Press the PCBA and Display to secure its position.

5.3 CameraPlace the Camera on the Carrier Metal Frame Assy in itsproper position using a pair of tweezers.

Press to connect the connector.


Hold the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy and connect theconnector by using finger.

Turn the Carrier Xenon Frame Assy in the direction ofarrow.

Press to connect the connector using a Flex Film AssemblyTool

Reassembly

Insert the BT Antenna Assy and press to secure its positionusing a pair of tweezers.

5.8 VibratorPlace the Vibrator in the cavity on the Carrier Xenon FrameAssy and press to secure its position using a pair oftweezers.

5.9 Cover Rear Metal AssyHold the Cover Rear Metal Assy and hook it to the two holeson the Carrier Metal Frame Assy.

Turn the Cover Rear Metal Assy in the direction of arrow toits horizontal position.

Reassembly

Apply 10 Ncm torque when tightening the five new screws(3.5x1.2) with the JCIS No. 0 bit.

5.10 Key Flex Total AssyHold the Key Flex Total Assy and insert the FPC into theconnector.

Lock the connector by pressing down the locking bar usingFlex Film Assembly Tool.

Turn the Key Flex Total Assy in the direction of arrow to itshorizontal position.

Reassembly

Apply 10 Ncm torque when tightening the three new screws(3.5x1.2) with the JCIS No. 0 bit.

Press this part of Key Flex Total Assy to secure theattachment.

5.11 Speaker Box AssemblyHold the Speaker Box Assembly like this.

Hook this end of the Speaker Box Assembly to the PCBA.

Reassembly

Press down on the Speaker Box Assembly

until the three hooks snap to the PCBA as shown from theother side.

5.12 Cover Front AssyMake sure the Latch Key is in unlocking position!

Insert the upper part of the phone under the hook on theCover Front Assy as indicated by the pointer.

Press down the back of the phone.

Reassembly

There are eight pins on Cover Front Assy securing theDisplay.

Squeeze in both sides to secure the eight pins

until there is no gap around Display.

Press on both sides of the Cover Front Assy until there is nogap around.

Reassembly

Apply 12 Ncm torque when tightening the two new screws

(torx 5.0x1.6) with the torx bit no. 5.

5.13 Co-Brand LabelPlace a new Co-Brand Label in cavity using a pair oftweezers.

The Co-Brand Label can not be reused! Use a new one!

Press to secure the attachment.

5.14 Battery and Cover RearAssy

Clean the battery connector by using the ESD brushbefore installing the Battery.

Insert the Battery at the top.

Reassembly

Press to secure its position.

Place the Cover Rear Assy on the phone.

Press around the Cover Rear Assy to make sure all snaphooks are secured.

Push the Latch Key in the direction of the arrow to lock theCover Rear Assy.
