WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
Stanley Court
Handcrafted by Pearce Homes, who have over 70 years of experience building the finest quality homes across the region, Stanley Court proudly sits on this convenient site on the edge of Parkham, within a stone’s throw to the heart of this much sought after village.
This select development comprises fourteen stylish new homes, each individually designed with no detail having been overlooked, offers a mixture of two, three and four bedroom houses and two exclusive three bedroom bungalows.
The perfect base; when asked what they love about North Devon and Exmoor, everyone’s answer is different. One thing is constant though: it’s the perfect playground for doing what you love. Be it spending time with the family, walking the dog, eating out or celebrating with friends. To the people that live here and visit here, North Devon really is the
perfect place. Golden sandy beaches perfect for rock-pooling, swimming and surfing, dramatic coastlines, rugged moors and verdant valleys all demand to be explored. Amazing attractions, great local food and drink and a wealth of cultural experiences await you in North Devon.
A level walk takes you into the heart of the village of Parkam with its picture postcard 15th century parish church, popular village pub “The Bell Inn”, that was refurbished in 2018, butcher G E Honey & Son and well regarded primary school.
The market town of Bideford is within a short drive and offers a traditional Pannier Market holding both produce and craft markets twice weekly. Many antique shops are scattered amongst the narrow backstreets and alleyways that lead up from the attractive quayside and River Torridge. The tree-lined quay still bustles with fishing vessels, cargo and pleasure boats with regular trips to Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel, about 12 miles away. Bideford is the administrative centre for Torridge with a good range of local and national retailers as well as the banks, building societies, a post office and plethora of cafes and bistros.
The seaside resort of Westward Ho! boasts glorious golden sand that stretches over 2 miles towards the mouth of the Taw and Torridge rivers. Westward Ho! beach has consistently been awarded Blue Flag status, so you can rely on both the safety and cleanliness along with all the facilities you’d need for the whole family.
Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho! can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of the South. The golf course is as challenging as any of the UK’s more
famous links layouts and has recently been placed in Golf World’s “Top 100 Courses in the World” that a golfer “must play”.
Northam Burrows lies adjacent to the Torridge Estuary and is an evocative landscape of salt marsh and dunes. It is part of ‘North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, sitting within the North Devon Biosphere and is a site of Special Scientific Interest.
The Village of Appledore The Quay is central to life in the village and it is here you will find many activities including fishing trips, crabbing contests, concerts and shows. This quaint fishing village has a maze of narrow streets abundant with chocolate box cottages leading to the quay. Appledore is earning quite the reputation as a foodie destination with a number of cafes, restaurants and pubs that will cater for all tastes day and night. Enjoy a glass of wine quayside, followed by scrummy fish and chips.
Gateway to Cornwall Sitting just a short drive from the Devon/Cornwall border and its charming town of Bude, which proudly boasts some of the finest beaches in the area. This picturesque town is a must visit, retaining much of its original charms and appeal as well as popular independent shops and restaurants. The north Cornish coastline is famed for both its rugged beauty, wealth of sandy beaches and hidden coves that attract tourists, walkers, surfers and water sport enthusiasts year round.
