• Termination no longer requires the departing employee to review documents.

• Change Job now doesn’t need previous managers to review Goals.

• HR Analyst can now Edit Preferred Name for first name.

• HR Analyst can now End Additional Job.

• HR Analyst can now Switch Primary Job.

• Workday/Kronos Integration runs at 6:00AM every day to capture all new changes.

• New hire receives 2 Onboarding specific Workday emails

• 1st contains User ID # and Workday url

• 2nd email contains password and Workday url

• Different from how hire logs into Workday from desktop computer

• Before/on a new employee’s first day ensure hire has completed all onboarding tasks in Workday.

• XO’s/TS User Agreement MUST be acknowledged in Workday

Inheritance is a Core Workday Concept, based on:

• Everyone must have a boss.

• Employees report to PEOPLE not Positions.

• Employees must have direct reports to be a boss.

• Each boss has a Supervisory Organization (aka Org).

• Employees in an Org that doesn’t have a boss INHERIT the boss above them.

• An Acting Role is a Pay Change, not an Org Assignment.

• March 2017 Update to Version 28

• September 2017 Update to Version 29

• Each upgrade requires analysis and testing

• 28 Upgrade happens March 10th – Ready or Not

• Greatest impact on Finance module.

• Low impact on HR, Payroll and Talent modules.

• No significant feature additions for Denver this time.

• OHR & TS staff now testing to make sure nothing breaks.

• Plan now for Service Outage during upgrade.

Upcoming: Workday 28

NEW FEATURE: You will be able to export the org chart to Excel which will allow you to import it into Visio. This will be automatically available for all users who have access to the Export to PDF and Excel security domain.
