I saw injustice, intolerance, inequality and incompetence.
Then I realized I wasn’t breathing.
So I took a deep breath. And then another.
I started to feel better.
My head started to clear.
I realized how I added to my difficulty
by assuming I knew the answer
before fully understanding the problem.
I went home and had a pleasant evening.
I returned to work the next day, happier.
There was still injustice, intolerance, inequality and incompetence…
But by learning to breathe first and judge later,
I had more patience to deal with it,
more willingness to find it’s root cause
and more intelligence to create a solution.
(Or the beginning of a better work story)
THE END.
