    8.4.1.5 Journey ana!ement o" #oat:

    (hould no journeys by any boat without prior reporting. oats areonly authorized to carry company personnel and goods. $ll dri"ersshall follow proper

    radio protocol reporting destinations and times. #he boat boss shallacknowledge transmission.

    !o other radio transmission shall be relayed e3cept in the case of anemergency. If boats are departing prospect area, number of passengers and estimated time of arri"al shall be passed "ia radio tothe intended destination. $ll boat mo"ement shall adhere to thedesignated tra"el times. $ny mo"ement outside of the designatedtra"el time shall require a permit to work signed by the 'arty Chief orhis alternate. %ri"ers e3periencing transport breakdown shall call forassistance and remain on board until that assistance arri"es. $ny

    8.4.% Water Operation:

    8.4.2.1 &ater 'rossin!:

    )ife jacket must be worn properly before entering water area. #hough the ability to swim is not a job requirement, anyone who willbe in charge of crossing water must ha"e passed swim test. (o, if there is no operational need, swimming is strictly forbidden. =nderno circumstances shall a worker cross water without ha"ing a fellowworker standing by on the bank. (o, must tie a safety line attached

    hene"er crossing water. $lways mo"e in pairs and ne"er aloneanytime. here"er possible e3isting bridges should be used e"en if longer detours ha"e to be taken into consideration.

     #he load carried should be reduced to minimum. Each man to ha"e astick to pole the swamp for manholes.  In deep swamps and pond abo"e chest le"el; a rope of adequatestrength to be secured at both ends of the swamp on trees topro"ide support and aid crossing.

      /"er wide water area, dinghies and motorized canoes shall beused. #he >st groups of spread men are positioned on one bank withcables ready for crossing.  #he ?nd group is positioned on the opposite side ready to enter theline to lay the cables once crossed. #he @rd group crosses the water

    inside a boat to 3 an appropriate rope -manila rope across thewaterA the rope shall be tied to 3ed objects and stretched by spreadmen to ensure minimum sag.

     #he boat returns to the >st group to cross the cables, the cables arecollected in the boat in reels, the boat dri"es towards the other bankwith the cables tied with ber rope to the manila rope until it crosso"er to the other bank.     %rilling headman ensure that drillers ha"e their mini4procedure, wearappropriate ''E I.e. )ife jackets, hand glo"es, helmet, eye goggles,and suitable eld shoes and ha"e tool4bo3 meeting.

     #he catamaran to be rmly positioned o"er the shot point to bedrilled with anchors to a"oid mo"ements of the boat due to thewa"es and wind.

    %rilling crew on the catamaran completes hole drilling and 7ushing,on achie"ing the required depth under the mud at the bottom of thesea0ri"er, the hole shall be properly 7ushed and casings will stay. If bottom of lagoon is clay, at least ? m should be drilled into layer.Casings to be used to reach the mud as deep as possible.  #he same procedure as abo"e can be used in 7ushing with'ortable ater Bet 'umps Carried on Back up +ate.

    8.4.4 Primin! o" ',ar!e an) -oa)in!:

    $ priming boat approaches the dynamite, collects dynamite, then

    goes to the boat transporting detonators boat and takes thenecessary detonators. #he priming boat should dri"e away from thetwo e3plosi"e transporting boats. hen recei"ing detonators, theprimer should check the leads are short4circuited. #he primer insertscap into the hole on top of the dynamite stick and secures tightly topre"ent dislodge, and then use sealing tape to 3 it and thedetonator leads are turned around the charge with two half4hitches.hen the charge is properly primed, the boat approaches acatamaran and the primer gi"es the loader the charge. /nce drillingcrew on the catamaran completed hole drilling and 7ushing, drillersand all drilling equipment "acate the "icinity of the shot hole and

    catamaran to be cleared of all debris and metals. hen ready toload, the driller headman uses a whistle to get pro"ision of a primedcharge. hen recei"ing primed charge, the loader should check theleads are short4circuited. /ne primed charge ready to be insertedinto casing. Charge to be attached to weight and to anchoringsystem, then inserted into the casing and gently pushed down thehole to the bottom of the sea0ri"er using wooden loading poles. #hecharge must reach the consolidated le"el and must be stabilized and3ed with a weight. Casings to be remo"ed one by one and withcaution using a fork end pole to a"oid
