ESD stands for "ElectroStatic Discharge".All people generate static electricity through movement. If footwear is ESD approved, a controlled and safe static dis-charge is ensured through the body and out through the sole; this means that sensitive electronic components are not affected or harmed by the static electricity.

ESD approved footwear is thus well-suited for the elec-tronics and medical industries, laboratories and hospitals, as well as other workplaces that use sensitive electronic components. SIKA FUSION CLOG is approved in accordance with standard IEC 61340-4-3, Class 2, , for an electric resistance≥1Ωx105 < 1Ωx108.
