Entries have been received from the verybest flocks for Scotland, England, Walesand Northern Ireland.

All sheep will have been tested forscrapie genotype and will be R1 or R2status. Our inspection will ensure onlythe best quality stock are forward andour full fertility guarantee is there to giveconfidence to buyers.

General InformationLOCATIONThe sale will be held at Worcester Livestock Market, The Heath Meadow,Nunnery Way, Worcester. For directions see map.

MOVEMENT LICENSESAll vendors must hand in a completed General Movement License andalso a current Sheep & Goat Health Scheme certificate. The market holding number is 17 521 8000-01. Intending purchasers should have their CPH number ready to completethe correct movement license before departure from the market.

INSPECTIONAll sheep will be inspected by the Society’s Official Inspector beforebeing allowed forward for sale. All sheep must have been paint brandedwith their lot number prior to arrival at the market. Any sheep beingrejected must be removed from their pens.

BIOSECURITYIntending purchasers are requested to have livestock vehicles cleansedand disinfected. Vendors will be required to wash out their livestockvehicles after unloading.

SCRAPIE GENOTYPE RESULTSAll sheep in the sale have been tested to establish their scrapiegenotype and are all Class 1 (ARR/ARR) or Class 2 (ARR/ARQ). Whilstthe Society will make all possible effort to provide purchasers with thecorrect information, they can in no way be held responsible for any erroror omission of information. If breeders wish for more information onscrapie genotyping and their use within a breeding programme, theyshould contact the office.

MAEDI VISNAAll sheep are from Maedi Visna Accredited flocks. Prospectivepurchasers wishing to join the scheme should consult the Sheep & GoatHealth Schemes, P.O. Box 5557, Inverness, IV2 4YT. Tel: 01463 411103 before the arrival of sheep onto their premises.

PEDIGREE CERTIFICATESPedigree certificates together with certificates for scrapie genotype willbe available from the Auctioneer's office on the day of the sale. Allanimals in the sale are Full Pedigree Registered.

SUBSTITUTE ENTRIESSubstitute entries may be offered for sale. A separate catalogue listingthese animals will be available on sale day. Any such sheep will be marked with a red dot next to their lot number.

REFRESHMENTSA restaurant and a licensed bar are available within the market premises.

METHOD AND ORDER OF SALEAll stock will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogueorder unless any alteration is announced by the auctioneers.

CONDITIONS OF SALEThe Sale is held subject to the Society's Auction Rules and Conditions ofSale and to the Auctioneer's General Conditions of Sale.

COMMISSIONSThe Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase forbuyers unable to attend the sale in person, upon receipt of instructionsin writing delivered to their offices 48 hours in advance of the sale.

SETTLEMENT & CLEARANCE OF STOCKSettlement in full is due to the market auctioneers, Messrs McCartneysLtd, immediately at the close of sale.

SEMENOwnership of all semen rights shall be deemed to pass to the newowner. The vendor of a ram may elect to retain semen for their own useor for sale to a third party if this is stated in the sale catalogue and re-iterated by the auctioneer at the time of sale.

AWARDSNo prizes, rosettes or cards from any other shows to be displayed.

Arrival of StockThe market will be open for arrivals from 7.00 a.m. onFriday morning. It is possible for stock to arrive onThursday evening BUT the market will not be ready until6.00 p.m. Anyone wishing to deliver stock on Thursdaymust speak with Clive Roads at McCartneys to arrange this.

Tickets will be £13 per head for the supper. Tickets will beavailable for sale during the day on Friday from theauctioneers office.
